as per Racechicks man thread. what do you lovely ladies like?

As after years of smiling and making it sound like she likes it. it appears that my mum does not like receiving things for the kitchen. She also did not like getting make up from Dad last year, as she took it as he was calling her ugly!

Yes I stopped buying kitchen goods for my mom years ago, she has multiples of everything already :hehe: . Buying makeup or shoes for a lady of any age is a no-no imho because it is a very personal item for them. I may buy my mom a blouse or sweater but usually get her just a card and a gift certificate unless specifically notified of a certain item.

I only ever get DVD's and Books, both of which I'm more than happy with (as long as I get to pick the exact DVD's and books that I get) :wink:

:yikes: Kitchen stuff :nono::nono:
Shoes, boots and clothes (both fraught with danger but ace if you get it right :D ), handbags (Radley is a safe bet) Lush bath and body things. Books and dvd's(like Amanda says-the right ones). Lingerie...men rarely get the right sort, best steer clear. Silver jewellery(there is wonderful silver jewellery and not nice silver jewellry) Lewis Hamilton merchandise :thumbup: Spa days. For girls who like gadgets, sat nav, little pink cameras(easy to operate essential) And a micro pig would be fantastic...but maybe not everyones cup of tea. There loads of ideas.

I assume you're talking about the "right kind" of stocking. ie. the red one you hang by your fireplace on Christmas Ever. :P:hehe:

Personallly gold jewellery a necklace or something decent that'll last and is not thin which can be costly. Thoughtful presents not rubbish cheap ones that say "no far ting allowed" only for my mum to then tell me off for it being displayed on entrance to my home :rofl: and deffo nothing pink!

This isn't gender specific but the late comedian Mitch Hedberg said that a severed foot makes the perfect stocking stuffer.
