No Algy, throwing a guy out at 19 seems a bit harsh

I have said it before, I will say it again:

Toro Rosso is the worst team on the grid for drivers - it should be avoided at all costs.

Then again, you always get one success story

Red Bull don't care as long as they get one star driver out of 10. Plus all the Red Bull junior drivers believe they are the next Sebastian Vettel, and it would be impossible to talk any of them out of driving for STR.

Bredon Hartley, Robert Wickens, Mirko Bortolotti, Daniel Ricardo. Talent just waiting to be ruined by Red Bull.

Every driver except Vettel that's joined that team has come out the other side with their career damaged. That's all I'm saying.

Thats just what I'm saying. Red Bull don't care. Someone once compared to STR to Hollywood in the way drivers are the next big thing one week and get the boot the next.

I hate how people hate on Scott Speed. The fact was that he had the better of Luzzi most weekends. But still he's gone. I'd imagine STR will have a whole new line-up next year anyway :hehe:

Bourdais was the same, he was vastly superior to Buemi.

If Kobayashi won't have a seat next year, this will be a major steal for him.

Same for Heidfeld, even though I'm confident about him going to Mercedes GP

I would not of though that there is a bigger name in F1 than Senna, but I know what you mean. Maybe Schumacher?

Having watched both Senna and Schumacher since their first F1 race I would like to believe that they both stand on the top podium together. They are both equaly deserving of being the greatest of our era. :)

I wonder why is Senna second driver for Campos. Are they getting a big name for first? :scratchchin:

Seem's they may have an experienced F1 driver in mind or lined up as the #1????

Carroll chasing second Manor seat

Adam Carroll has confirmed that he is in talks about stepping up to Formula One next season. The reigning A1GP champion, who has been linked with Manor Grand Prix, told the Belfast Telegraph he is in negotiations with one of the sport's four new teams.

"I'm hopeful of winning a drive and making the final step to the top of the sport," said Carroll.

Manor has already signed former Toyota racer Timo Glock, and boss John Booth hinted last weekend that Lucas di Grassi is favourite for the other race seat.

"Hopefully, we should be able to announce the second driver in a couple of weeks," he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, official confirmation of Virgin's takeover of the team is expected shortly after the FIA reinforced one of F1's worst-kept secrets this week in confirming that Manor would be called 'Virgin Racing' next year.

Another major hint about the heavy Virgin involvement is that Alex Tai, a high-ranking company executive, is the only name associated with the Manor team on the executive committee of the Formula One Teams' Association.

It is expected that Tai, rather than Manor boss John Booth, will be Virgin Racing's team principal.

Good stuff.

Lotus driver announcement imminent

An announcement regarding the driver line-up for the new F1 team Lotus is nearing.

The team's chief executive Riad Asmat told Malaysia's Star newspaper that the target is for an announcement next week.

"We will name two drivers and a reserve. Negotiations are still going on," he said.

Asmat also stated that the 2010 car will be tested in February at the Sepang circuit.

It is expected that Malaysian Fairuz Fauzy will be the reserve driver, and among the reported candidates for the race seats are Jarno Trulli, Kamui Kobayashi, Takuma Sato and Jacques Villeneuve.

Trulli and Kobayashi out of those 4 please!
