Nobody hates politics more than I do, but I must admit that I am curious to see if one or the other stands out amongst our online community.

Ari Vatanen for me, because of his background; someone not affiliated with any Formula 1 team, past or present.

I find it hard to believe that Todt could ever be neutral, either pro or anti-Ferrari.

Yeah, I just like the fact that he is not associated with Mosley or receiving backing from any of the FIA board members.

Who would have thought otherwise ! I voted for Ari aswell because the time has come for the FIA to have an ousider so to speak as president. I'm not saying that Todt would be as selfserving or biased as MM is/was but the FIA need's an overhaul and I feel/hope that Ari is the best candidate.

I tend to agree, I believe that both candidates are qualified for the position, but I think recent events has shown that the sport may be in need of an overhaul. I think the recent attempts to improve the sport may have taken away some of what made it special in the first place. I hope whoever takes the position can realize that a step backwards may actually move things forward.

It's the FIA General Assembly consisting of the presidents of the various member clubs.

Todt will probably win it akin to George W Bush while Ari is akin to Al Gore!

Both candidates obviously have good CVs, so there's no issue here. Of greater concern is the agenda Todt will almost certainly have. This will not be good for Formula One.

Both guys coming from WRC. Todt was a co-driver whilst Vatanen a champion.

Personally, I would rather have Vatanen. I see Todt bringing no change to F1, and it'll be Mosley all over again. I say we need "change" Ari Obama for president.

The important thing to remember is.... FIA isn't just about Formula 1...

WRC too.

I wanted Vatanen to win, Todt was a bully & used scare tactics against Ari, and Ari didn't retaliate. It was unfair.

But at least Todt can sort WRC out as well as F1
