It does look like Japan, but I think japan wasn't in the calendar by that time.

Nope - that's the trick part i mentioned. It is his helmet though! The driver is countryman and namesake (sorta) Carlos Pace.

The black and white livery and the "lack" of sponsors make me think about: Tyrell something between 86 or 87...
but the car looks more recent...something later than 1990...
