Stephen, honestly, are you even paying attention? Even the graphs in that video show a general upward trend in global temperature over the past 30 years. They then exaggerate a slight dropoff in the numbers to wards the end by tailing off the trend line to a far greater extent than mathematics dictate. The "decline" that these scientists have hidden proves nothing, global temperature fluctuates, of course it does. The fact is, over the time we have data for, the temperature has generally risen on average.

All you people who doubt global warming are doing is giving big business a guilt-free pass to wreck the planet any way they like. Congrats guys, good work. While you're at it, why not give money to the so-called-communist dictators in China to support their brutal mistreatment of their people and vote for the BNP. You clearly enjoy things which harm civilisation, which harm people, which harm the world.

I take this very seriously, and I should also point out that I care passionately about the environment. I've taken the time to review all the evidence I possibly can on the subject - and there's very little substantive evidence from either side. It's not an issue about whether the climate is changing, it has done since the dawn of time. However, that being said, I do not subscribe to the MMGW argument - there is no clear link between CO2 (of which man contributes very little) and Climate Change. In addition, science is all about theories, research, findings and peer reviews - yet, for this one topic, anyone who shows any evidence to the contrary is labeled a heretic, a denier, and even a BNP supporter (thanks for that).

Perhaps we should all continue to be brainwashed into believing this, and pay the growing punitive taxes on the basis that it will help the planet (where in fact our efforts to combat this perceived problem are potentially causing planet Earth more harm, for example, the growth of bio-fuels GENUINELY destroying countless rain-forests). The reports suggesting a sudden rise in temperatures are totally flawed (lack of samples, non-random samples, few independent surveys, trusted data used upside down, data not released for peer review, multiple datasets used to hide declines, and warm periods earlier last century removed from the charts) and created by a small group of vested scientists. Not the greatest evidence is it?

As for China, the only real difference between them and us is that we covert an illusion of freedom.

It's just mind boggling how people fail to see (or simply don't want to see) what's going on with our environment. And to top it off, they then turn around and say: No, no, it's not man-made, it's all a natural cycle. While all the scientific evidence (that can call itself that) points in only one direction: we humans are screwing up Earth. Well, the dinosaurs had a much longer history than humans and yet they went extinct because they couldn't cope with the changes Nature presented them. I don't worry about the Earth or Nature - she'll survive no doubt in one form or the other, but we won't!

Sorry DD, but I disagree. The wheels have fallen off the MMGW band-wagon - so much science has been found wanting, including Mann's Hockey Stick chart, Yamal tree rings, Mann's Nature Trick (manipulation of data), reputation of CRU, their climate models and data (as used by the IPCC, with the lead scientists being those naughty boys at CRU). I suspect we are destroying the planet, but I'm not convinced about man-made global warming, or that the climate is changing in the way we suspect.

I'm of an open-mind, but given the facts today (especially those papers snubbed by the MSM and so-called neutral climate scientists (Mann, Jones et al - cough)) you'd have to be bonkers (or someone who would benefit from such poor science) if you believed this crap. Right now, given the Earth is in a period of cooling, I would suspect the realists (the non-warmists) aren't going to be the ones with egg on their face.

what annoys me about this whole situation is there's no actual scientific debate its just mud throwing.

Belemey picks up on that but he's a massive hypocrite because he does it himself.

One thing is for sure tho, it would be easy for the government to listen to the so called "realists" since the cost to reduce carbon emmisions is massive.

So why aren't they? just this week China agreed to start lowing its emmisions.
