I know it's a pointless exercise (as this weekend showed how unpredictable F1 is!) but

1) Who are your ideal top 5 for Brazil?
2)Who do you actually think will be there?

Mine are

IDEAL

1) Raikkonen
2) Massa
3) Kovaleinen
4) Vettel (come on Seb :D)
5) Coulthard

Don't know how this would ever happen but hey....say Hamilton & Alonso had a scrap and spun off....

REALITY

1) Raikkonen
2) Massa
3) Hamilton
4) Alonso
5) Heidfeld

I think Massa will be keen to win this but may give way to Kimi for the sake of the team.

Anyone else?

With all the possible permuations and combinations of wins and places at the forthcoming Brazillian GP, I've created a simple little calculator to figure out who will win the world championship ...

http://www.jamesh.com.au/f1calc2007.xls(30kb)

Please feel free to redistribute or save and send to other F1 Fans! Should be lots of fun to have open during the GP!

My personal prediction is
1) Alonso
2) Massa
3) KR
4) LH

Which would make Alonso the WC

Cheers
James

Massa will be under orders to assist Kimi, whether he will be in a position to do this is another matter entirely. McLaren are likely to be very strong through Sector Two of the circuit, which could ultimately give them the advantage over the Ferraris. Alonso is likely to drive very hard, but he has a poor history around the circuit - his highest position being 2nd last season (I think hes averaged 3rd around this circuit throughout his career, if you exclude the retirements ;) ).

If Raikkonen is going to win this, Alonso and Massa have to assist him. Hamilton and Alonso retiring on the first lap would be ideal for the young Finn, but the reality is that the championship is really between the two McLaren drivers.

^^^young Finn, hes been around a while i think, lol

No, if Lewis falls out of the running Suddenly, thats the only reason Massa admitted he would move aside. If not, he in it, to win it.

BTW I've updated the spreadsheet above as someone pointed out to me that if KR comes 1st, FA comes 2nd and LH 5th, it will actually come down to how many fifth place finished each dirver has!!! which would mean that LH wins ... so I had to include results out to 6th.

Well that is the thing ... if KR Does something silly there will not be much the team can do about it. Although Massa might have an "unexplained engine failure" caused by a wrench which was "accidently" left in the air intake at a pitstop ;) LOL

did anyone find my spreadhseet useful or have any suggested changes?

I dont think LH will win this next race in Brazil, I think it will be a ferrari, but that just makes the championship better!

I think ferrari will be faster
They have figured out that the Engine only has to last 1 race. So they can get some more BHP out of it.
McLaren might or might not do the same.

i think the track won't favour either car, i can't see anything about the rack thats good for either team.

A BMW will decide the championship. They will split either the Ferrari or the McLaren and take points away from the top 3.
