only Wii and PSP are getting this one. the PS3 and Xbox versions are delayed until the 2010 game now.

only Wii and PSP are getting this one. the PS3 and Xbox versions are delayed until the 2010 game now.

I'm happy to wait for the 2010 version as it'll have the extra cars courtesy of next year's new teams.

I might get it for the psp, although it's the codemasters name I think they got some other developer to make the wii/psp games so they could concentrate on the ps3/360 games so the games on the wii/psp won't have any bearing on the ps3/360 versions.

Now EB Games have postponed it's release date until 26/11/2009. This is the 4th time they've moved the goalposts. I've preordered and I havent received a call from them... I have to find out for myself....

Wii. So far it's pretty decent for a casual F1 game. The sensation of speed is terrific, and it's very fun, but there are a few niggles here and there.

I got the game today (the pack with the F1 style steering wheel), and am totally hooked! There will be those who are PS3 or XBox360 snobs that will carp on and on about the inferior graphics etc. and yes - the graphics are obviously inferior to those consoles on the Wii, however that doesn't bother me in the slightest, for me it's the gameplay that counts!

There are a wide variety of driver aids that can be turned on or off, as well as difficulty levels, it's a big improvement on F1 2006 (the last F1 game I got for the PS2) in my opinion.

The steering wheel control took me about half an hour of practice to get used to, I used the time trial option on 5 or 6 different circuits to try to get used to it. After this I did a few single races, finishing 11th in my first one, 6th in my second race, and 1st in my 3rd. Hopefuly this shows that practice does help you get used to it!!

Just set up my career mode, had trials with Torro Rosso and BMW Sauber, and was offered a drive with Torro Rosso which I decided to accept (didn't want to start a career with a team that is going to dump me when they pull out of F1! ).

So far so good, no major issues except for my one gripe - that the damage and asociated sounds on crashing etc. are a bit pathetic!!
