Wow, I'm impressed! 19 years old, almost no time in an F1 car and then he tops the timesheets in practice with no mistakes for the entire session. Not bad, not bad.
A rising young star in the making?
Wouldn't that be somtin' to have MS leave only to be replaced by another German Wunderkind? I can see all those haters of everything German crinch at that thought

Good job Vettel, nice run...i think this much of appriciation is more than enough.

And about the "Vettel the new Schumi?" crap,by darwin's standards there must be some dozen of Shumis in F1 right now cause i belive every Friday pactice this year has been dominated by some test driver of different teams...

Hey logan, hold your horses alright!
All I'm saying he's very young and did a great job in his first outing. So, he has potential for the future. In two years' time, he might give FA and KR a run for their money :D

Practice/testing is very different to actually racing...

Haven't seen him drive or really heard anything about him, so I'll reserve judgement until I know a bit more :)

 calm down the kid has done an impressive job for the amount of time he has had in an F1 car but one step at a time. Besides BMW were running very light when he set that time, still regardless of that fact he did a great job

Well, I'll be keeping an eye on this young fellow, same as I did when MS showed up on the scene...

Well, he did great again today. Half a second faster than MS...

It is worth asking yourself if he could do as well with all the driver aids turned off. It does rather suggest that a computer was controlling much of the car. I don't ever recall a driver setting fastest laps in practice on both their first and second meetings. There is more to this than meets the eye.

Yes excellent start. Let's hope he doesn't resort to SchMACKER's cheating ways...

Vettel is a spoilt little brat, given the best equipment from day 1 hes no schumacher
i dislike shumacher but in the beginning of his career he made 2nd rate equipment look good
vettel is just an arrogant little prick

lol - there goes that positive thread then. :hehe:

I bumped this thread because I thought it was interesting that back in 2006 everyone here thought very highly of him - even making excuses for him after his accident at Fuji. I thought I'd go back in time and work out what was the source of everyone's hate. :P:wavey:

Nowadays you all absolutely despise him. Where did it all go wrong?

Heck even the media hate him - I don't understand what everyone's problem is?
