That Grand Chelem thing is interesting, we might actually see a couple more from next season now they've changed the qualifying rules.

 One hopes...

While I'm not sure I agree about Fisichella (I think Barrichello would have beaten him), I'll agree that Button was lucky this year.

Now for a F1 fact about Britain, hmmmm. The youngest ever world champion is British. The same driver also holds the record for the most penalties in a season (2008).

Barrichello has Italian blood. The name is Italian. Yes he is Brazilian but he could well be Italian because of his ancestry. The Italian government allows you to get an Italian citizenship even if it is one of your grandfathers that came from Italy. How do you think so many Brazilian and espeically Argentianian football players get to play for Italy when they are not even from Italy. Take Mauro Camoranesi (Argentina), Thiago Motta (Argentina) and Amauri (Brazil). The first already plays for Italy and the other 2 are future candidates.

As for Hamilton being the youngest champion. So would of Vettel had he driven the same car. Hamilton is the youngest champion because he was given the opportunty that many others do not get. British drivers seem to get more in F1 because of more teams being based there. There are many drivers as good as Hamilton that could of archieved what he had. had they been given the equipment to do do.

In the 1960s, race strategies were more straightforward as races were shorter than they were in the 1950s and refueling wasn't widely used strategically, only if the car ran out of petrol. Since the introduction of mid race tire changes and refueling as a strategy, drivers leading for entire races has become less common as the stops are often staggered.

Italy hasn't really produced the goods in terms of great F1 drivers since the 1950s really. Germany, Brazil, Britain have to be the strongest nations really.

F1 isn't the best proving ground to deteremine the best drivers/riders. Drivers from certain places get given more opportunities than others. And even if you take this out of the equation, what makes F1 better than (In terms of driver skills) than rallying, sportscars, touring cars, indy cars, moto GP etc. If Valentino Rossi jumped in Hamilton's McLaren, I bet he would do well. If Hamilton jumped on Rossi's bike, I bet he would fall off after a few laps and still of been slower than Rossi. No clearly Italy and Germany are the strongest. Besides go to Italy and Germany and you''ll see that drivers there are generally better and more skillfull. In Britain they are usually slower and obediant to that posted speed limit. :hehe:

why are you turning this into a debunking session AKR? not only that, more to the point that any fact involving McLaren and or Hamilton youre trying to rubbish?

Typical though.

There are no right turns in Kansas, you always have to go left !!!FACT!!! :P

Really? wouldent that take you round and round the block though?

I wished my arsehole was that way

lol, no point in mixing you're word's now is there :D

It is clear that F1 isn't s true representive of the best drivers in terms of where they come from. The best clearly come either Italy or Germany.

Really? :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Here you go again about the Italy Germany thing, I think you're deluded but im willing to be proven wrong on it, prove Italy and Germany are the strongest then, give me some stats and figures

Well, there are a lot of German drivers on the grid at the moment - just a stat, doesn't mean they are the strongest

More like typical of you to talk crap in defense of McLaren and Hamilton. I have not rubbished McLaren in this instance. In directly I have said that when Hamilton won for them that they had the best car or one of the 2 best cars. So how is that rubbishing McLaren. As for Hamilton, it is true that anyone like the likes of German Vettel could of won in that car in 2008. So had Vettel been given the opportuinyi the youngets ever F1 champion would of been German. As mfor Rossi. He clearly has shown that he can drive an F1 car with all those Ferrari tests. I have no doubt had he driven Hamilton's McLaren (And I use McLaren since they are the drivers champions team of 2008 and we are comparing to Hamilton) that he could of had a chance to be champion. Had Hamilton tried to race a Moto GP bike, at that level I doubt he would be able to keep up and stay on the bike. Moto GP is harder than F1.

FIA GT1 and GT2. More Italians and Germans including the 2009 GT1 champs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FIA_GT_Champions

European Rally champions, more Italian and German winners including 2009 being Italian
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_R ... ampionship

IRC, Italy and Britain are even but this is a young championship
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interconti ... _Challenge

WRC, Italy and Britiain even with Germany 1 behind but again Colin McCrae is Scottish and not English so that really isnt the same/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRC:_World ... ampionship

World Touring car champions. British have done well but Italians and Germans equally as successful
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Tour ... ampionship

European Touring car champions Italians and Germans are the most successfull and this is the forerunner of the WTCC so when you put the 2 together Italians and Germans are the best.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_T ... ampionship

Anyway that is enough for now. If I move the Moto GP, Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini both Italians are the greatest. F1 isnt everything. But in F1 we need to remember that a GERMAN as well who drove mostly for an ITALIAN team is the greatest driver of then all MICHAEL SCHUMACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VIVA ITALIA. DEUTSCHLAND ÜBER ALLES.

It has one champion. It has one would have been champion that died, who happens to be the father of that champion. It hosts a race, usually. It darn near killed Kubica. Alesi got his sole victory here. Once, M. Schumacher ran HH Frentzen off the road here. Jan Magnussen's last race was here. It broke Panis' leg or legs, I forget. The province its race is held in doesn't want to be part of it. The city its race is held in is ironically the home of some of the world's worst driving.
