Shame that Alf Anoonderson, that famous Spanish cyclist had to resort to his box of wishes to defeat the champion in the making.
Having been totally outclassed all season, Alf made a wish after Fuji.
He said "For me to stand a chance I need Lewis to retire in the next race. Lo and behold he must be a sainted man! His wish was granted. The great big Bernie in the sky decided that Lewis could not finish in Shanghai and he cast a spell over the whole Maclaren team and Lewis retired.
Sorry do I sound cynical, quel suprise!!
Bernie strikes again, lets make sure we get great viewing figures in Brazil guys.....!
The racing? What about the racing?..... This business is about sponsorship income, TV rights income and any other income I can think of. Who gives a hoot about the racing..........?
