Silverstone is just one word away from sealing a record new 17-year deal for the British Grand Prix.

A "yes" from F1 ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone will settle drawn-out negotiations

Tom Wheatcroft, 87, the owner of Donington Park, has died.

The British GP is saved at the same time as the owner of Donnington Park has died

Sadly we haven't heard that word.

It's been 72 hours since Bernie said Silverstone had 48 hours left. Nothing....

Could this mean only one thing..

A season with no French Grand Prix and no British Grand Prix could be incoming. It's absurd that the birthplace and the home of the sport aren't being represented when Spain has two races, and countries with no ties to or apparent interest in F1 have races just because they're run by playboys.

I would love to say that if there is no british GP I would stop watching. Like already said. I could not even if I wanted to

I am just hoping that he has said yes but they are arguing about the fine print.

None of this surprises me. Since his divorce Bernie has to refill the coffers so is not going to budge on this.

What I am surprised at is FOTA's total silence on this. You would think that confidence would be sky high after getting rid of Moseley so why would they not start pressing on Bernie the importance of the British GP?
