I dunno, I just don't see what the point in copying old Force India designs is.

They probably drew straws on which car to base the design on, and Force India was the shortest straw. :P

surely all F1 cars have a basic shape made out of the same composite material so i dont really get how one could patent it at all. they will all have to have 4 wheels, air intakes. am i right to say you could probably patent a final product with all the lil winglets added ??

you cannot patent anything in F1, they are accusing Lotus of using their old designs. not copying the cars shape. You cant stop a team getting a picture of the BrawnGP and copying its features.

Nah, the shortest straw would have to be Renault...

Aerodynamically? Definitely. An idiot could tell you that nose is inefficient.

Hm, does that mean that there aren't (weren't with Flabio gone) any idiots at Renault? :P

No, it tells you they're full of sub-idiots, a race of fools so stupid, it'a almost like they toil endlessly in a harsh corporate enironment

Don't we all??

I don't blame Force India. Mike Gascoyne doesn't seem like a trustworthy guy.

He doe's seem very dodgy to me to be fair.

They'd be stupid to copy the Force India designs after what happened in 2007...

It's a ridiculous claim anyway, if you look at the two cars and also the '09 Toyota they all share several similarites (most notably the nose and front end of the sidepods), and no one has complained about that this season. :-|
