I think everyone is being very cautious about how we rank Vettel. In good reason, with his lack of experience.
I'm very, very, amazed. 22 years old with 5 race wins and 9 podiums. Not to mention 125 career points. Add to that that he's 43 races. He has scored on average 3 points per race in his career.
What he did with Torro Rosso last year was absolutely amazing, and that's when I started supporting him over Hamilton. He ran rings around Bourdais. And to finish 8th in the championship in a Torro Rosso is a bloody amazing achievement.
I think he's very similar to the Early Alonso. Of course he is behind Hamilton and Villeneuve, who both started their careers in very competitive cars. Any other whizz kids that come to mind?
Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso are the future of the sport.
Not to mention Rosberg and perhaps Hulkenberg and Senna.
