Its a matter of opinion, which is why the opinion expressed in the piece is as valid as any other opinion regarding who is the greatest talent. Anyone saying that Hamilton, Massa, Raikkonen, Alonso, Vettel etc. is the greatest talent would have a reasonable case and it would be difficult to argue against any of them definitively. Plus the peice is badly translated as Juliet said so the wording may have been different, they may have said 'protege' or something less strong.

Oh I don't know about that.

you know i'm inclined to agree with you. I've never much liked Massa but you can't really argue with some of his race wins, particularly the ones in which Kimi Raikkonen, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso and/or Lewis Hamilton couldn't match him for pace in competitive machinery. Personally, I'd rather have any of the drivers I mentioned in the original post with the addition of Nico Rosberg if i was picking for an F1 team.

Yeh but he's too inconsistent, he does well at certain circuits but at others he's terrible

he has no real accuracy in his driving, he takes all sorts of different lines through corners over a race but he has great feel for the car, as long as the conditions are stable. I would say that on pure, ultimate pace, he is a whisker behind Kimi in 2nd place out of the whole grid. I remember when Peter Sauber took him on, he said the team felt he was even faster than Kimi. and McLaren reckon Kimi is the fastest driver they have ever employed!
