Oh I didn't notice the last Spitfire, that of course is a Merlin engined version - It appears to be a MKIX but painted to look like a MKV of 303 Polish sqn ... bit of an historical inaccuracy. Why couldn't they just have painted it to look like what it was ... a MKIX? Sorry, I get a bit of a bee in my bonnet about such things!

It was the Lancaster Association Day at RAF Coningsby today, heard there would be the Lancaster, Dakota, 2 Hurricanes and 3 Spifires flying pity I couldn't have gone and got some photos, heard a report that the Vulcan also gave an appearance.
Pity we don't have an airworthy example of my favourite aircraft (below) still flying in this country, South Africa is a bit to far for me to go and see one flying.

Nope certainly not cheap but would be well worth it, just need to win the lottery now.
Last flight I had was a little bit slower and cheaper than a Lightning, in a Cessna from Humberside Airport, just a few misty pics from the trip, a bit out of order.
The Cessna.

O yes the No4 shot is that the Triumph Dolamite ? correct me if I'm wrong, it was one of my favourites along with the larger Triumph 2000 series, brings back memories of my old days when you could do all your own mechanical work, thanks for the pics.

Rich.

Mmmm, if I'm Cardiff way I'll have to look if anything is on at the Llandow Circuit, never been there, and I'm sure I could unload the wife to look around Ikea while I'm doing my thing

My brother still has a Dolomite (1850HL). It amazes me how much room there is under the bonnet compared to modern cars. I love his Dolomite

@Rusko - which car is yours then?

Rusko wrote-i love the classics.

A few classic cars I saw on a visit to a Nene Valley Railway event at Wansford Station, obviously not for racing though.

There's a bunch of USMC Harrier's based here in Yuma AZ. They never take off vertically, but I guess thats just to save fuel or something. They're awesome planes though.
