Mate, your posts trip me out, because I keep think that you are me. :D

I will agree with my RBRother. (Like that? )

This has completely come as shock to me... I hope that they do find a buyer, and I hope that Nelson Piquet is happy!

Or perhaps, in an ultimate display of revenge, Piquet Snr actually buys the team. And then Nelsinho... does a Button? :yikes:

Renault have announced this morning that they have begun preparations for 2010 and that their budget has been approved. This sounds more positive to me.

Hopeful.
They have to stick it out, after pulling through the crash-gate/

Renault have an engine deal for 2010 with Red Bull which brings in a nice profit there, if their engine turns out to be fuel efficient you might see some other teams have a sudden interest in them, I think they have the second best engine in F1.

Also the marketing value alone of staying in the sport will be worth it for them. Renault sales have been stronger than expected.

Due to F1 though? Its not like their lineup is sports oriented. its kinda not their market anyway. I dont think Renault buyers care if their cars make is in F1 or not as it wont affect their decision on buying a small family car.

I did/do. I test drove the new Megane Coupe GT the other day and the place still has F1 champions 2005, 2006 stuff adorned all over the place. They also have every year the previous year F1 car on display for 6-8 weeks during the summer.

F1 i think in europe at least helps Renault sales.
