Vettel and Schumacher beat Button to win ROC Nations Cup
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/ ... 10194.html

I found this article quite interesting, Vettel and Schumacher is a lethal combination because they are both fantastic drivers, especially in the wet for me both being in the Top 10 drivers ever to enter F1.. However, both Hamilton and Felipe are up as they to are great drivers, any of these 4 drivers together are lethal combinations. Would of been nice to see all four drive so as one team was done, Hamilton and Massa in the other.

Schumacher has proven himself to be the best, You may say Alain Prost or/and Ayrton Senna are as good or better than Schumacher but you have to remember they were racing cars alot different and no where near as high tech as the ones now a days which makes it more competitive and equal.

I don't know how Vettel and Schumaccer is a fair fight vs Button and Andy Priaulx (3 Time WC for Touring Cars) for one, they have two F1 drivers vs a F1 driver and a touring car driver, they both have there pro's and there con's I agree but Ultimatly the most expensive car racing (F1) drivers should technically be the best.

It would of been nice for a Button+Hamilton vs Vettel+Schumaccer fight however then again I still think the outcome would of been the same, I currently think In order of them drivers it goes: Schumaccer, Hamilton, Vettel, Button in order of the best driver to worst.
I don't think Button is no where near as good as Vettel, Schumacher, Hamilton or Massa the thing what won 2009 for him was the car and Ross Brawn. I'm not saying he is crap or anything just not as good as the others, I would like to state that we still havn't seen the TRUE potential of Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel to this date.. just look at this year McLaren (Hamilton) have had a pretty crap car this year until the last few races and Hamilton has put one hell of a fight up and towards the end started winning races, you look at this year though McLaren had a shitty car nearly all year and Hamilton put a hell of a fight up and we saw him do some great racing just his car sucked.

Germany, Lewis would of win if the incident at the start involving Mark Webber and someone else didn't happen which punctured Hamilton's wheel..
Hungary, Lewis won this race.
Europe, Rubens won this race with Lewis Second and Hekki 4th
Belgium, the crash at start took button and Lewis out, however Hekki came 6th so I would expect Lewis to be third or so..
Italy, Lewis pushed to hard they were great all weekend, Brawns car was exceptionally good for the race but Hamilton would of got 3rd (crash last corner)
Singapore, Lewis won this race.
Japan, Lewis Came third.
Brazil, Lewis third even though an awful qualifying because of a messed up decision from team boss
Abu Dhabi, Lewis was HOT all weekend same as Hekki, but then Hekki for qualifying did awful and Lewis had problems with breaks in the race and had to retire.

My opinion in a run down of drivers of who have driven this year not specifically based on this year's performance but there whole career.
Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen, Rubens Barrichello, Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber, Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg, Robert Kubica, Hekki Kovalainen, Jarno Trulli, Timo Glock, Nick Heidfield, Gianicarlo Fisichella, Adrian Sutil, Sebastian Buemi, Nelsinho Piquet, Kamui Kobayashi, Kazuki Nakajima, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Jamie Alguersuari, Romain Grosjean and finally Luca Badoer.

However next year I believe that Vettel will win, followed by Hamilton and then Massa or Raikkonen with Alonso and Rosberg fighting behind and then there will be Button, Barrichello and Webber fighting for fighting for the next spot.

It would be nice to see next year a GB Team (Button to McLaren) but I know this wont happen it looks like Kimi will be racing with Lewis which will be better than Button but not a GB Team...

Next year looks like its going to be an interesting battle... Felipe+Alonso vs Hamilton+Raikkonen vs Button+Rosberg vs Mark Webber+Vettel

The way you spell Schumacher is pretty funny... :hehe:

But I agree that the driver line-ups in the (hopefully) top teams next year makes for a pretty exciting prospect!

why is two time world champion fernando so low down?

because he's been in a shitty car for three seasons and people forgot how good he actually is, I think.

One day I started thinking how McLaren have made bad bad decision for Lewis, which have cost him victories OR big points. In Valencia the tyres..we all know. In Monza they put Lewis on a too light car, he was again much much faster than everybody else in the qualifying and could have had extra kilos on him. In Brazil i dunno whose mistake it was that they were so bad in the rain ;D. In Abu Dhabi the car's reliability played a major role. And when we go back to the start of the season, if David (don't remember the exact name) hadn't come up with the stupid idea to fight for third place by lying, Lewis would have snatched points.

So this year ws very rough on him and I believe it improved him as a driver and a person.

Yeah, he definitely had to eat his fair share of crow, ain't that the truth? We'll see how this year's experience may have had an influence on his personality.

I think it already has. :)

Hamilton for 2010! :hehe:

Although i dont think theres ever been anything 'wrong with his personality'. He's been a good role model whose agenda has been nothing more than to get in his car and drive it as fast as he can. A politician he isnt and he's said things without thinking, many of which have been taken out of context or twisted to mean somthing that was not intended. He's learning to stop and think how his words might be interpretted, perhaps thats a good thing, but too far down that road and we get little company automatons.

I allways spell his name wrong, I have no idea why :(
Next year looks very promising indeed, I can't wait :D

why is two time world champion fernando so low down?

I just don't think he's good enough even with two wc's behind him he just is not to the standard as Lewis, Massa, Kimi, Vettel and Rubens.

Lewis, great driver pushes his car to the limits and over the limits (Italy) even with a crappy car you can see he is pushing the car and doing his very best.
Massa, is actually very similar to Lewis however he doesn't push his car to its total limits and doesn't wrestle with the car as much.
Vettel, very good driver especially in the wet just like Schumacher and is a very gutsy driver.
Kimi the most relaxed and cool driver out of all of them and is a very fast driver he just doesn't have something in him, it might be because he is to relaxed and cool...
Rubens, a man of experience and drives quite good the only thing he lacks is a bit of guts now and again.

You think Massa is better than Alonso? That I find astonishing.

Alonso this year has been in the worst car out of all the drivers you mentioned, he's been dragging it along.
