Bruno you should work for the news section of the site and get Brazilian exclusives like this so Forumula1 can get the English speaking world 1st's :D

so clearly this means Rosberg is going to Brawn or will it be called Mercedes-Benz GP by then?

Considering that the forum is a good news/speculation source, I'm alredy doing this, aren't I? :D

well the main page could use your scoops for those who just read the news on the site.

AHH...but I think the main page crew wouldn't allow posting something that they aren't 100% sure about.
For example, the Singapore scandal was posted by a brazilian here, and it was first stated during the Hungary GP by the brazilian journalist, Reginaldo Leme.
Nobody bought into that news..
( check it here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6979 )

In other words, people can state whatever they want, but if these things don't become real, they will lose crediblity.
That's why speculations aren't good on the news section, and since it wasn't stated by any reliabe source (for the site crew), I believe they will see it only as speculation.

I'm pretty sure that Barrichello is off to Williams. Everyone seems to be claiming that Rosberg is off to Brawn, and it makes sense as well. However, if I were Brawn I'd be looking to retain Barrichello. Neither Rosberg or Button are exactly the greatest at developing a car. Barrichello is the cream of the crop in that respect. Williams have been suffering without an experienced driver on their team ready to develop the car and get the most out of it.

Perhaps Barrichello will be the man to bring the team forward.

If it's true that Barrichello has moved to Williams, then that has REALLY made my day!

Patrick Head has been desperate for an experienced driver for a long time, and now he's got one. Bring on 2010 and Ruby behind the wheel of the FW32!

Barrichello opens Williams talks

Brawn GP driver Rubens Barrichello says he has opened negotiations with Williams as he seeks to secure a Formula 1 drive for next season.

The Brazilian said Williams are among a number of options available to him.

"I haven't signed with anybody yet, but it's true that I'm talking with Williams and Brawn," he said.

The 37-year-old is 14 points behind Brawn team-mate Jenson Button in the drivers' world championship with two races remaining in the 2009 season.

Barrichello is preparing for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, his home circuit where he is yet to win a race, on 18 October.

Following a six-year spell at Ferrari, Barrichello joined Honda in 2005 and was retained by new team Brawn GP when the Japanese team withdrew from Formula 1 in December 2008.

He remains the most experienced F1 driver with 286 races in 17 seasons but has yet to win the world championship.

Normally I would go by what the BBC and "official" sites say about driver changes, but in this case with Barrichello and Williams, TV Globo - Brazil's main TV station which also covers F1 - are already reporting the deal has been done, and Luciano Burti's Twitter page reported this too last week - along with a Cosworth deal being done - he has reposted this again today and he is one of Barrichello's closest friends.

So it's a bit of a dilemma to decide what to believe...

Until it is confirmed by an official source; I don't by into speculation; all we know is that Barrichello is in talks with Williams F1!
