Here's a good summary of the 2009 season courtesy of F1 live:

Melbourne, Australia
The new Brawn Mercedes team started the season in perfect style with Button leading Barrichello across the line to record their maiden one-two result. Behind, Lewis Hamilton and McLaren Mercedes got themselves into hot water by lying to stewards regarding the battle for third position with Jarno Trulli. Vettel meanwhile threw away a potential podium position after clashing with Robert Kubica, the latter struggling for grip in the final laps.

Sepang, Malaysia
Heavy rain brought a premature end to the Malaysian Grand Prix after 31 laps with Button taking the win from Nick Heidfeld. The BMW Sauber driver had made just one stop in the atrocious conditions and despite spinning out of the race, the red flag rules and subsequent count back gave the German veteran the runner-up position. Timo Glock finished third ahead of Trulli and Barrichello. Vettel spun out of the race.

Shanghai, China
Vettel finally got his championship challenge underway with a dominant performance in the rain hit Chinese Grand Prix. The race started behind the safety car and Vettel went on to lead home a Red Bull one-two ahead of Button and Barrichello.

Sakhir, Bahrain
Toyota claimed the front row in Bahrain, but it was Button who took the lead following the first round of pitstops. Glock got the jump on pole-sitter Trulli at the start but both were light on fuel and pitted ahead of Button. They also chose to run the prime tyre in the opening stint and this contributed to Vettel moving up to second position ahead of Trulli, Hamilton and Barrichello.

Barcelona, Spain
Trulli triggered a four car accident at the start in Spain as he ran wide, rejoined the circuit eliminating Adrian Sutil. Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastien Buemi collided as cars scattered to avoid the incident. Out front, Barrichello pushed hard but while the team kept him on a three-stop strategy, team-mate Button switched to a two stop race. Button took over the lead as Barrichello pitted leaving the Brazilian veteran furious over the team tactics. Mark Webber finished third in his Red Bull ahead of Vettel.

Monaco, Monte Carlo
A relatively simple victory for Button from the pole position, finishing ahead of Barrichello. Kimi Raikkonen started second but dropped behind Barrichello at the start, the latter chasing the race leader until his tyres started to fade. Vettel was also struggling with tyres and was forced to pit early and then crashed out of the race as he tried to make up for lost time.

Istanbul, Turkey
A small mistake from Vettel on the opening lap in Istanbul allowed Button to snatch the lead, one he never relinquished as he notched up his sixth win from seven races. Vettel remained on a three-stop strategy and this cost him second position to Webber, while - for the second time - Barrichello almost stalled his Brawn off the line and dropped down the order. Barrichello battled hard with Hamilton before crashing into Sutil and recording his first non-points score of the season. Significantly, it was also Buttons final win of the season.

Silverstone, Britain
Vettel dominated what was scheduled to be the final grand prix at Silverstone from pole position to record his second victory of the season from Webber. Barrichello led the Brawn challenge with third position while Button had to be content with fifth place.

Nurburgring, Germany
The Red Bull revival continued in Germany as Webber overcame a drive through penalty to take his first grand prix victory ahead of Vettel. A brush with Barrichello on the run to turn one at the start of the race was deemed dangerous, forcing Webber to take a drive through penalty having already survived an assault from Hamilton. Felipe Massa recorded his first podium finish of the season while Button and Barrichello finished fifth and sixth respectively.

Budapest, Hungary
Formula Two driver Henry Surtees died at Brands Hatch the weekend ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix after a stray wheel struck his crash helmet. Qualifying in Hungary saw Massa similarly struck on the helmet, this time by a spring from Barrichellos Brawn. The incident dominated the race weekend with the Ferrari driver initially battling for his life but thankfully now on the road to a full recovery. Fernando Alonso started from pole with Hamilton slotting into second having made a fast start using KERS. Alonso however was soon forced to pit for fuel but an error saw him exit the pits with the front right wheel not securely attached. With Hamilton dominating at the front, Webber lost second position to Raikkonen after a slow pit stop. Button and Barrichello finished seventh and tenth.

Valencia, Europe
Barrichello drove a flawless race to claim his first victory of the season in Valencia despite the best efforts of pole-sitter Hamilton who controlled the pace early in the race. Barrichello was able to move ahead of Heikki Kovalainen in the first round of stops and close on the leading McLaren driver. Hamilton pitted from the lead for a second time only to find the team did not have his tyres ready and this arguably - handed victory to the Brawn racer. Raikkonen finished third while Vettel suffered an engine failure and did not finish.

Spa Francorchamps, Belgium
Giancarlo Fisichella shocked the F1 establishment as he claimed pole position in his Force India Mercedes at Spa Francorchamps and went on to finish a fighting second to Raikkonen. The Ferrari driver made best use of KERS at the restart to pass Fisichella with ease on the run to Les Combes, but the Italian veteran kept the pressure on, taking the chequered flag less than a second behind Raikkonen. Vettel finished third with Barrichello just seventh after his anti-stall device activated on the grid again. Button was eliminated in the lap one incident triggered by Romain Grosjean.

Monza, Italy
Strategy proved crucial at Monza with Barrichello and Button making best use of a one stop strategy to finish first and second for Brawn Mercedes. Pole-sitter Hamilton quickly established a 17 second advantage at the head of the field but could not stop the Brawn duo taking the lead as he pitted for the second time. Pushing hard, Hamilton tried to find a way to pass Button for second, but lost control on the final lap handing the final podium position to Raikkonen. Vettel struggled for pace at the power-circuit and finished eighth.

Singapore
A year on from crash-gate Hamilton recorded his second victory of the season as both Webber and Nico Rosberg eliminated themselves from contention with small errors entering and exiting the pits and taking subsequent penalties. This gave Hamilton an easy drive to the flag and allowed Glock to finish a solid second ahead of Alonso.

Suzuka, Japan
Vettel put in a dominant display from pole position to record his third win of the season and remain in the championship race. Behind, the battle for second was closely fought between Trulli and Hamilton, the former taking the runner-up position. Barrichello and Button struggled to seventh and eighth positions respectively.

Interlagos, Brazil
After qualifying 14th, Button did not expect to wrap up the championship in Brazil. However, an aggressive drive, combined with incidents at the start of the race, enabled the Brawn racer to finish fourth and claim the title. Pole-sitter Barrichello lost the lead to Webber in the first round of stops and then suffered a puncture dropping him to eighth position. Webber took the victory from Kubica and Hamilton while Vettel recovered from a tough time in qualifying to finish fourth ahead of the new champion.

Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi
The first day-night in the history of the sport saw Vettel record his fourth victory of the season, clinching second position in the championship behind Button. Vettel shadowed pole-sitter Hamilton during the early laps, taking the lead in the first round of stops. Hamilton retired shortly afterwards with a gearbox problem while Webber held off the advances of the fired-up Button in the closing laps to make it a Red Bull one-two.

:nono:

Now now, don't distort the facts. Heikki had an unfortunate gear box problem in qualifying. Hamilton had right rear brake failure during the race, causing him to retire. Anything else is unfounded speculation.
