If we had Friday Test drivers we would've heard about Koboyashi a lot sooner!

I heard about Kobayashi ages ago. Here are his GP2 results:

16 Japan Kamui Kobayashi 8 5 Ret 12 Ret NC Ret 17 9 3 13 8 8 11 7 11 17 17† 6 19 13pts

Not very impressive, really, when you compare it to Nakajima who has been useless in F1:

6 Japan Kazuki Nakajima 17* 6 15* 7 10 17 6 3 3* 3 3 2 Ret 6 Ret DSQ 18 Ret 9 3 7 42pts

I watched Kamai in the GP2 Asia series, he was good enough there.

Yeah, but the quality of drivers in that series wasn't as good. The majority of the drivers were those that filled up the lower spots in the main series. The guy who finished 2nd in the Asia series, Jerome d'Ambrosio, finished 9th in the main series. Likewise, 3rd placed Roldan Rodriguez finished 11th. I think those two would have finished behind Hulkenberg had Hulkenberg completed the full season and I would not have been surprised if Hulkenberg had beaten Kobayashi to the title.

You have to look at it this way though. GP2 Asia series use the past Gp2 car, now the team that Kobayashi had more of an understanding on that compared to the new spec. That was alot to do with his problems tbh.

Its weird though how fate drew him into F1.

what do you guys think about jaime Alguersuari's incident? dam shame though, rookie mistake, but the red bull and toro rosso teams look almost the same lol.

To be honest, I sometimes mistake them too. It was still funny though

Why on earth cant they call Torro rosso, torro rosso?:confused: . Im constanty mixing them up in the race. maybe they could paint them a bit different too. .........was funny though Guy comes in to what he thinks is his pit and gets screamed at and waved at to go back out agen

Im confused as to what you actually mean?

Torro rosso have red bull written on their cars and they look just the same. Why cant they have torro rosso on? And paint them a bit different.Confusing for spectators and obviously confusing for drivers too.

Hmm, maybe something to do with the fact that Red Bull is a commercial brand worth millions of dollars and Toro Rosso is something they made up which has no commercial publicity value whatsoever...

But I agree, it would have avoided some Red Bull red faces today!

Yes I can see the need for the publicity but surely they could play on that. Put red bull on but in a different way. Maybe a big pair of wings with the red bull logo on them. I dont know. Id love to figure out a better livery for torro rosso though. Maybe a pink car (rosso) with the red bull logo on it

I remember several midfielder teams in 1999 used to confuse the McLarens with that year's Minardi as it was silverish.

I'm surprised nobody ever got the Ferrari and Scuderia Italia Dallara cars mixed up, particularly when they both used Ferrari engines.

They werent called force india then were they? But I know which you mean. I used to get heart failure everytime one of those went off!! There must be so many good choices of livery to come up with. Why do they make them look the same??
