Seems like a lot of people had brake issues today, which strikes me as odd...

you know scotty.... I often ask one question and never seems to get a answer to. why do redbull wnat to change from renault if its serving them so well...
and what the heck is up with the renault teams car thats really not performing. same engines in both cars. Renaults a big team ( was, maybe still ) am i to believe their problem is entirely aero ??

If we had Friday Test drivers we would've heard about Koboyashi a lot sooner! :irked:

And after seeing Lewis Hamilton's qualifying, I'd say watch out for him next year... As for all those bickering about Lewis' DNF, mechanical failures are part of the race. It's the reason why we have Constructor's championships, to encourage constructor's to prevent these incidents for happening.

I personally wanted to see Hamilton win - but then I can't argue with a Red Bull 1-2. I just wanted my three favourite drivers taking up all steps on the podium. You cannot discredit Vettel's win because of Hamilton's failure. If you do, then you might as well not bother watching, as DNF's are a part of sport.

Well, there are better engines than the Renault, it's blown up a couple of times on them this year. Probably still lacks a bit of power compared to the Merc and the Ferrari too.

As for Renault themselves, the car was generally a bit of a dog this year from the start. They did appear to be making progress if you remember back to Germany/Hungary time, but then i think they stopped developing the car like Ferrari did, which is why they fell back.

does anyone miss that other guy.. whats his name? something Glock? hahhahaa

i think Kobayashi has some talent, hope to see more of him in the future. I hate to say it but thankful that Glock was away to allow Kobayashi have a chance.

what do you guys think about jaime Alguersuari's incident? dam shame though, rookie mistake, but the red bull and toro rosso teams look almost the same lol.

To be honest, I sometimes mistake them too. It was still funny though :hehe:

 FA said that the Renault is the worst car on the grid, and I don't think he was being mean about it, just realistic.

It could have been lethal for SV's race if JA indeed stopped at the Red Bull pit and blocked it for the upcoming SV

Ill admit i did laught myself at the pit incident, but then felt bad when he ran out of gas. Why did he make the mistake though? Was the Toro Rosso guys not out there expecting him and he saw the Redbull guys all setup thinking it was his crew?

I can imagine whats goin on in his head "here we go... wait this aint right... hmmmm... #*%@! :yikes: " lol

He said it was a communication issue. The decision to come in was at the end of the lap so the TR guys didn't have enough time to get ready, JA then assummed that the Red Bull crew was his. :hehe: He also said that he didn't run out of gas.

I heard about Kobayashi ages ago. Here are his GP2 results:

16 Japan Kamui Kobayashi 8 5 Ret 12 Ret NC Ret 17 9 3 13 8 8 11 7 11 17 17† 6 19 13pts

Not very impressive, really, when you compare it to Nakajima who has been useless in F1:

6 Japan Kazuki Nakajima 17* 6 15* 7 10 17 6 3 3* 3 3 2 Ret 6 Ret DSQ 18 Ret 9 3 7 42pts

I watched Kamai in the GP2 Asia series, he was good enough there.

Yeah, but the quality of drivers in that series wasn't as good. The majority of the drivers were those that filled up the lower spots in the main series. The guy who finished 2nd in the Asia series, Jerome d'Ambrosio, finished 9th in the main series. Likewise, 3rd placed Roldan Rodriguez finished 11th. I think those two would have finished behind Hulkenberg had Hulkenberg completed the full season and I would not have been surprised if Hulkenberg had beaten Kobayashi to the title.
