Congrats to Vettel for his win in the inaugural Abu Dhabi GP. It was an impressive drive from him. And a fantastic drive from his team-mate, Webber, indeed, to hold on to his 2nd position and just manage to keep Button at bay. But 3rd place is still great for the newly-crowned world champion. But it pretty much sums up the season, doesn't it, with Red Bull and Brawn dominating this final race of the season?

Disappointing though, about Lewis's brake failure and subsequent retirement. He could have won, and ended the season on a high. Yeah... but in the end, I suppose it was not to be for him. All because he'd had a problem with his rear brakes, just when things seemed to be looking up for him. So much for McLaren's great practice form, and Lewis's pole position.

But I'm sure that Lewis and McLaren will be strong in 2010! And at least we've beaten the Scuderia in the WCC, despite both not having picked up any points in this race.

ahh get over it ... lewis had brake problems not from the word go. so no he would not have won anyway. i find it amazing how you guys makes excuses until you even believe yourselves. watch all the threads and it goes like this ... but lewis had brake problems...blah blah blah.. screw it he didnt win. he found him second to vettel and his ego blew up. at least i am glad this season is over cos i can look forward to em playing at the back of the fields again.

Great last few laps, Button almost got Webber; great stuff. Another F1 season over. A new champion and god knows what the driver line ups will be like next season.

Yay for Vettel getting the last win of the season
I thought the race was pretty good, especially with the awesome battle between Webber and Button at the end - had me on the edge of my seat.
The track itself seems... ok. But a venue that cost so much to build shouldn't be described as just 'ok'. Alright, it's got a pretty hotel and some clever ideas (like the run-offs under the grandstand), but it all semeed a bit bland to me. At least there was some good racing going on :)

Unlucky and harsh for lewis, but vettle impressed once again, at least the race was more interesting.

And I hate the double-decker diffuser, look down in the lower field where you have teams who haven't got yeah - yeah see that? Its on track overtaking.

Without refuelling as well, its looking bleak since the cars are so evenly matched and now they'll all be on the same fuel loads - have we seen one overtake when the drivers were on equal fuel (ie after the last pit stops).

What a stunning display from lewis in qualifying-AWSOME!! Shame his brakes went :( , it looked like a different car in the race. Still congrats to Vettel and thanks to Jens and Mark for a great last lap. A stunning track and complex but not actually the most exiting race.

I have a new favourite driver (not very favourite you understand-Lewis still reigns supreme). Kobyashi-MEGA. Love his style. Please Toyota sign him!!

Seems like a lot of people had brake issues today, which strikes me as odd...

ok race... impressive circuit. Money seems not to be an issue with the arab sheiks, so i guess they can spend what they want on a toy racetrack.... The only elevation change is the exit from the pits :hehe: But its ok, circuits dont have to all look the same, and this one has a nice challenging layout.

Could this track signal the end of the REAL and true racetracks?? or maybe Speed racer (the 'new' movie) already ruined what racetracks are supposed to look like??:confused:

It was a great run by Vettel again, showing that Red bull were the force of the field. Nice end battle by Button to end his championship yr with style and a good push

Kobayashi sooo deserves a seat next yr. Finally a fresh face, surrounded by....... silence?? comes to F1 and shows great potential. Great move on Button and great pace... very exicintg driver to watch. He definitly looks 'at home' in F1
