This isn't a thread about the testing itself or who will come out the best.

I wanted to ask some questions. Mainly has anyone ever been to a winter test before? If so what's it like? How much is admission fee, etc etc?

Although testing is very very limited now, I am seriously considering going to one during the off season. Especially as one or two will surely be around the old birthday etc etc :hehe:

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would of thought it would be fairly boring to be honest.You have no idea what a good lap time might be.You stand there cold watching cars go round.Take the Brawn this year for example you would of thought they had no chance.

I havn't taken much notice about how many turn up to testing,apart from one
occasion when Senna was going round,but I guess its fairly easy to get in.I would of thought you stood a good chance of meeting the drivers etc at things like that ?

I went a few years back at Silverstone. I had never seen (or heard!!!!) an F1 car up close, so for me it was an excellent day out actually getting to experience the power of an F1 car and just soak up the atmosphere.

When I went it was free, and we had access to the entire track, although the few stewards that were there were trying to keep everyone contained towards bridge and the pit straight, but there was so many people they just couldn't control us all and eventually just gave up and let us wander where ever we wanted, it was ace.

So for me personally it was well worth going but I think you have to pay these days and if you have already experienced F1 up close it would probably be a bit dull..
