alonsos going mand RG is useless so dont care this year lol :wavey: um

Riiiight... so you're not hoping for the best whilst Alonso and Grosjean are still at the wheel? I may not like Nakajima and I'm going to be glad when Nico leaves but whilst they're still in a Williams there's every chance of them picking up good results for the team - although very little.

But even so, roll on 2010.

Why don't you like Nico? He's a great driver, and did a great season, going consistently for good chunks of points race after race.

I thought he did a superb job.
But I don't think JB was whining, Kamui was a bit erratic at best. And his block on Nakajima was ridiculous and should have gotten a drive through at the least.

I've started to go off Nico a lot recently because of his tendency to "throw it away" when he's in a great position.

Monaco 2008 - Was in great position for a podium but kept driving into the back of people and kept losing his front wing. He then eventually crashed at the swimming pool
Montreal 2008 - Drove into the back of Hamilton in the pit-lane and lost yet another front wing throwing the chance of a podium or even a win away
Silverstone 2008 - Drove into the back of Glock when flying in the wet and was looking good to catch Barrichello - even Nakajima managed to get by Glock without crashing into him
Melbourne 2009 - Made a mistake in Q3 costing him 3rd on the grid, he then ate up the super-softs at the end of the race, but I guess the latter is excusable as almost everybody else who ran the super-softs did the same at some phase in the race
China 2009 - Messed up in Q3 on a light fuel load and then had his mysterious "visor problems"
Catalunya-wn 2009 - Kept complaining about a mysterious problem with the car which puzzled the team very greatly. He had been on a strategy that could have got him as high as 4th
Monaco 2009 - Messed up in Q3 again but claimed he was "blocked by Barrichello"
Singapore 2009 - We all know about.
Brazil 2009 - Messes up in Q3 - again - by running wide and losing time whilst still P1, runs out of time to start the lap on which everybody greatly improved. Blamed the team saying they had "messed up" when it was clear he was the one who threw it away yet again, ends up P7.

Nico came into 2009 wanting podiums, he has been given a car capable of podiums but he has wasted it. I can't imagine Barrichello or even Hulkenberg making those mistakes next year.

I don't remember most of those incidents so I can't really comment on them, but on Singapore lady Luckstabbed him in the back... kinda reminds me of Webber a couple years ago. :D And how can you be sure the car is capable of podiums? Williams has had massive-failure-Nakajima running disastrously all season, if the car was THAT good, I think he would've gone the Piquet way...

So you think Nakajima would have done worse if the car was "THAT good"...

The car's definitely capable of the odd podium. Somebody just messes up everytime they get close. Definitely time for a clear out.

Well for a while when Button was behind him he was creating his own version of the Trulli-train. :hehe:

Toyota's pull like a train.

He did well not to panic with the championship leader bearing down on him. he did not seem to break under pressure.

His moves are the very essence of GP racing, wheel to wheel especially...

That Nakajima move can probably be put down as a new comer error of judgment.

But honestly, I think his driving style is what F1 needed, absolutely great defense and great fighting.

I found it very very exciting to see him racing with others, I think that was the most entertaining race of the year. He might not be fast, but he sure make you work hard for it to pass him.

If I have some say in Toyota, I will see him in 2010 for sure in a driver line-up.

ps. much much better than other rookies like others already mentioned, and better than nakajima by miles
