Absolutely not, I'm surprised he didn't get penalised for his unprofessional block which took Nakajima out. I'm also surprised he didn't get any damage either.

There was nothing wrong with his driving.

His block on Nakajima was defo a drive though.

Apart from that not bad for debut

He was entertaining and defended his position well but he was also quite slow. Still, he was miles better than the other rookies, if I ignore the Nakajima incident.

I couldn't get a good view of the Nakajima incident. It was during the commercial. Was he coming out of the pits and did he do something overtly wrong in front of Nakajuma?

Jenson was complaining of his weaving, or was it just sour grapes? I would have thought Toyota would have him give Button no trouble, even though it's fair position fighting.

Nakajima went for an overtake but Kobi moved over to block but Nakajima ran into the back of him.

Let's be fair now. His block against Nakajima was similar to the incident involving Kimi and Webber. These things happen.

Let's just say he is one brave kid, and was so late braking into turn 1. The Brawn is good on brakes, but Kobayashi really held his own out there. Not bad at all for a first weekend. Personally I think he really proved himself out there today. It's questionable whether he'll get a drive next year, based on his result prior to F1, but it'll be interesting to see what happens.

OK then WHY was Nakajima unable to stop in time? Did Kobiyashi unexpectedly veer in front while travelling considerably slower or while braking hard? You can't jut suddenly in front of someone if there's a large speed difference. OR was Nakajima looking somewhere else so as not to notice this guy in front until it was too late?

I just knew that you'd be annoyed with the way Kobayashi drove.. NOT THAT he did anything wrong and obviously the stewards didnt see it as a problem.

Give the kid a drive, was hilarious when he kept Jenson behind for lap upon lap :thumbup:

Besides Nakajima is SHITTTEEEEE so he had to go off good style ;)

Good job Rosberg didnt get taken out by a Mclaren aye

Alex also says that Kobayashi could become his fave driver :) genuine

Nakajima may be crap but he is still a Williams driver and they're stuck with him until the end of the year, Hulkenberg should have been in that seat today and for Abu Dhabi.

Kobayashi's lap times were way more consistent than the other rookies in their first races :|

In addition, he kept it on the track, maintained reasonable race and didn't give away anything. He fought hard and well and would have deserved a points finish. Yes, the move with Nakajima was a bit dodgy, but everyone makes mistakes in their first race. Nakajima himself mowed his own pit crew down, for crying out loud!
