What I want to know is why did the mother let go of the pram in the first place?

She looked like she was just pulling her trousers up. By the time she realised where the pushchair was heading she was too late, slipped and missed it. People don't normally cling on to pushchairs for dear life, although it might have been wise to put the brake on, I can't say I do that very often either.

she was unlucky really but the baby very very very lucky.

I think she was luckys as well mate, she could of ended up spending the next 20 years in jail for manslaughter. nevermind the mental issues that would of happened if the child had died

Who builds a platform which is uneven?

have you seen the state of Donnington recently?

You have to think that most of the UK's rail systems are over 100 years old and with people not willing to spend money on improving the public transport systems anymore. I would imagine that very little has been done to the platform in the last 20 year. since Maggie had her way

Wait where did this accident happen, was it in Australia?

I suppose that's true, mind you it isn't hard to work out possible hazards. I suppose this is all in retrospect.
Ahhh Maggie, like Bernie.

It was at Melbourne, Australia.

Can you imagine the horror of seeing your child going under a train, that poor woman.

Nor do I but I can imagine. It's bad enough when my nephew bumps his head, if I was responsible for something like this happening to him (or any child) then I'd never be able to forgive myself.
