We see time and time again that people get on their high horse about their team being accused of cheating; how many excellent threads have we seen devolve into an anti-McLaren or anti-Ferrari, or even anti-JB, anti-LH threads for no logical reason? The reality is that just about every major team has "cheated" to gain an advantage, even if that's a driver inspecting a competitors car in Parc Ferme as he gets out of his car to go to the podium, Michael Schumacher used to do this every time he got out of his car; no doubt to report back to his team. If you think for one moment that the McLaren spygate saga was the first instance of spying in F1, think again! It's just come to the fore in recent years as the governing body wants to be see as doing something to combat cheating in the sport. Although the Renault race-fixing is above the normal level of cheating but the people involved have been drummed out of F1; spying to get a competitive advantage is one thing but fixing a race is above cheating in my opinion. My point is that no team is whiter than white; so taking the high moral ground on behalf of your chosen favourite team is pointless, teams do whatever it takes to get a competitive advantage!
I'm sure this will descend into another pro-[team-name], anti-[team-name] thread, but seriously can we talk about current F1 issues instead of dragging up two year old news?
