When I first started watching F1 it was mainly an excuse to make whoever stayed over on a Saturday night go home.
I never actually watched the race, it was a case of "I am sorry, we had a great night but on Sundays I always watch the race, alone." when they had gone I would meet up with the lads and go for a drink.
One day,I cant remember if we woke late or the race was early but I had to sit there and watch it, I was quite annoyed as the lads and myself had something else planned.
Eventually the girl moved in and I was forced to watch so I wouldn't make myself out to be a liar, 20 years later and I am still watching, and can boast I haven't missed a race in over 15 years.
