You both say exciting but it wasn't exciting fighting for the lead it was only the fact there was rain made it that way.Without rain it would of been just another bore .
That said i still look forward to a f1 weekend, watch pracci aswell as quali and the race.
I believe f1 went about 2 years without a single overtake on the track for first place.Thats a sign of how things have changed. It really does need a major change.
My interest has varied over the years, the Schumacher winning everything era was a low point for my F1 watching and this year has been another low point; all the huff and puff about the new regulations promoting more overtaking has come to the square root of nothing. Suzuka has plenty of overtaking opportunities yet next to no-one made a real attempt to overtake, the only high point was Kovy overtaking Fisi out of the pitlane exit. When I started watching F1 back in the 1991 it was exciting, Piquet and Mansell going to wheel to wheel etc. What ever happened to that close racing, years of meddling by the FIA, I don't believe we have had a truly exciting race this decade.
Er.. Brazil last year?
yes, that was what I was thinking as well...
