For those of you who watch ITV's F1 coverage will know James Allen doesn't half say some right rubbish a lot. Sometimes it's even worse than some of the stuff good old Murray Walker used to say but what quotes stood out for you the most? Here's a selection of mine...

"GET IN THERE!!!!!!!!" - After Button's win at Hungary last year.
"And Sato is going very well down in 18th position." - From 2002 - Sato's "De Crasheris" days - bleeding obvious
"They are racing with their forebears" - Monza this year - I'm sorry, racing with what??
"And then there's a SOCKING long straight" - Quoted by Mr Allen in his Suzuka preview on the ITV F1 website and then used again during qualifying... Socking? Does that mean some marshalls dropped some socks on the track on their way to the Laundromat?

Not nearly up to Murray's standards McLaren Fan! "Socking" is a term that used to be fairly commonly used by my Dad, who was from County Durham. it means "huge"

"Forebears" is a perfectly legitimate English word. It means "ancestors" in it's literal sense, but could be reasonably used to mean "predecessors", if that was the context. The American English version, "forebearers", may be more familiar.

Murray Walker, with his excitability and creative use of the English language can never be replaced. Though it's taken a while I've grown used to James Allen but the rubbish he talks is nowhere near as entertaining as the things Murray came out with, I miss him.
TBH I can't really think of any quotes that have stood out other than a few that have made me cringe.

During a race at Monaco, 2 cars were close to each other, "You couldn't get a handkerchief between them"

i don't think that james allen is all that bad. He'll never be as good as Murray (but who will?) but he's the 2nd best

James Allen is a tool. I pity Martin Brundle having to listen to his rubbish at least twice a fortnight.

He's forever getting drivers and teams mixed up and regularly calls teams made up names.

Anthony Davidson (I think?) did some commentary last year and I thought he was miles better (although I appreciate driving is better than commentating )

I'd like to hear Jack Dee commentating on one race.
