ya you right , vettel needs this win and needs to get full points. hamilton really insignificant at the moment but could get in the way of vettel's plans. well lets hope not.

Seriously doubt the Hamilton's case. I don't see how could he interrupt Vettel. The only was is to make a heck of a star, otherwise it's near impossible. If vettel doesen't make an error or car does not brake down, this race should be his.

It's not unknown for Vettel to fail to maximise his races. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't win tomorrow, even if he has the best overall car. I don't think Trulli will beat him, so it'd be Hamilton. There's a bit of a run to the first corner for Lewis to use his KERS button. I don't remember detail enough to know which tracks have the longer or shorter runs to the first corner, nor how well KERS cars have done at the start in various races. But it looks a reasonable run. And of course, Vettel has everything to lose if they come together, Hamilton much less.

If you put it this way then yes, "Lewis with nothing to lose" would be a scary combination if he was behind you ;D.

exactly, yellow flags are there for a reason. They mean slow down, not continue and hope you avoid debris

Button kept the car nailed through the scene of the accident. He almost hit the broken front wing of Buemi. If he had actually hit it, and then crashed heavily, then we'd be in a whole other pickle.

Anyways, I said either Button or Vettel for the win this weekend, and it really looks like this is Vettel's race to lose. Lewis could be ahead into turn 1, I'd hope not though. But even still, Vettel has more fuel onboard if he needs to overtake Hamilton. So GO VETTEL

I have a note to make. I'm pissed at Mclaren for giving Kovy a heavier car all the time. Today also he had like 10kg heavier car than Lewis, how the hell could we know his full potential when he can't get decent qualifying position. Okay in Monza he did a fcked up but most of the time he has much heavier car than Lewis which makes it very hard for him to score big points imo.

That's my argument concerning mclaren not allowing him the same oppertunities like do hammie then they claim he not up to the task. they have been doing it to him the whole season and last as well and he actuallu said so at some point. hopefully he gets a drive with a team that challenges mclaren so that he can prove he has some potential.

Why is it that heiki is always a lot heavier than captain invincable ?? mccheaters has been donig it the whole season i think.

Captain-Invincible seems to prefer 2 stop and HK likes longer stints also this way McLaren have both strategies covered this way.

thats what mclaren is saying. I think its their way of keeping the two apart on track.. and then they say heiki doesnt perform

Any time Kovalainen has been given the so-called better strategy, he's bungled it. I would give Kovalainen as few responsibilities as possible. The guy is a loser and is lucky to even still be at a team like McLaren.

In terms of the race, McLaren have performed a lot better than expected, though I think the Red Bull's race pace could be slightly better. However, Vettel has made some gaffes this season and with Brawn's ineptitude \and gutless attitide rearing their heads yet again, he could be a little conservative, especially going into the first corner. Toyota's perfomance is decent, though they probably based their car around this track, so desperate are they for some kind of performance. I expect Trulli to fade away over the race, both because of his own abilties and the limitations of his car. With the quanity of fuel Rosberg has on board, he could be a contender for a podium spot.

Lewis doesen't have the car to compete Vettel, bummer :(. Otherwise so far so good except Button was lucky to gain 2 places.

EDIT: Do you have a chatting room during races or it's just so quiet here during the races?

Yeah there is. You can access it from the homepage. In hindsight it would probably have been better than sitting and watching a non event. Beaten by a bloody Toyota.

Agreed that Vettel had an excellent race, I do think that he poses more of a threat to Button than Rubens.

I agree, but those old engines he still has to use could ruin it for him.

Plus the fact that if he gets too close, Brawn we'll design strategies to support Button to get the driver's championship. Now Rubens and Jenson are still allowed to race against each other.

Snorefest!!! Just watched 90 minutes of processional rubbish; the most exciting bits was Fisichello being caught sleeping out of the pitlane and Jamie Alguersuari's crash... The Brawns were completely anonymous and lucky to claim three points. I think this result plays into JB's hands, crossing the championship winning line with a whimper.
