What does everyone think will happen here? They are a new team with a big motorsport history the owner is part the group that own's Aston Martin and they have nice financial power and allready have sponsorship apparently. Supposedly to use McLaren cars do you think they will be able keep up with the Ferrari and the other McLarens?

I don't see why not with David Richards at the helm who had BAR moving up the ladder then I can see them sticking with the top teams.

They may have the same car as McLaren, but they won't have the same personnel. McLaren's engineers will be able to setup the car much more quickly and to a better standard, and will also be able to get more out of the parts.

Prodrive will run races against Red Bull and other midfield teams next season, maybe picking up a few points along the way. They'll be much like Super Aguri this year.

This is how I see them doing their first season but anything Richard's does usually turn's into a winning effort. Next season is gonna ROCK!!!

Mercedes will keep the McLaren name, thankfully, I hope. It's no secret either that Mercedes are looking to have their own, full Formula One team and buy out Ron Dennis. In my own view, teams such as Pro Drive have no place in Formula One. Build your own car and/or or clear off.

Indeed, this is why you don't see Toro Rosso on the same level as Red Bull even though they have Ferrari V8 power.

Ron Dennis sells McLaren to Mercedes and joins Pro-Drive with current McLaren staff renames it to McLaren Pro-Drive and avoids paying the $50 million fine because they no longer exist ~<< possible take on current situation. Would be an interesting thing if it did happen but I would hate to see the McLaren name go though.

Then again Pro-drive might not enter under prodrive yet he owns aston Martin and if Ron Dennis comes over and they take on the dritish test driver from McLaren might be called F1 UK or something lol never know in F1 stranger things happen.

What rubbish, Farriari said if Ron Dennis left they would have drop the fia investiagation. Ron Dennis is the power behind McLaren Mercedes, I wouldn't be suprise if Farriari didn't want his services. Before Michael went to Ferriaria McLaren was the must successful team in modern F1. Let don't mention the many world champions Ron Dennis and spoted and bring into his team. Ron Dennis is McLaren Mercedes, Mercedes will be a fool to remove Ron Dennis. Also Mercedes have secretly paid the fine and are very happy with Ron Dennis. Mercedes sales have since gone up in the USA and that because there won both north American f1 races.
