Why is this incident being brought up after sixteen years? DD must fancy attacking another of his pet hates, this time Senna. The thread is made all the more laughable, as DD and Gregg are fans of the most arrogant tossers in Formula One history: Schumacher.
It's nice of you all to see Senna's side of the story. He has been lumbered with a woeful Ford engine all season, but has exceeded all expectations to win several times, and drove a brilliant race that day. Then, as the leader, Senna was entitled to right of way. Hill was also arsing about, trying to assist Prost. Irvine's driving could hardly be described as terribly fair as well; there was an occasion when all three drivers could have made contact. Hardly an acceptable situation. Finally, Irvine was/is a smarmy bar steward - something that even comes across in the tone of the transcript - so he almost deserved punched for that alone.

Senna was a great driver but his arrogance was sometimes to much to take. He could have been in last place but felt everyone should move over for him because he is Ayrton Senna.

A lapped car must allow the faster car past after seeing a maximum of three blue flags or risk being penalised.
 guess you dont know the rules about letting the leader through hey Tex?
And for a Schumacher fan to criticise a driver for being arrogant just made my day!

I've always gotten that vibe as well. He was far to arrogant at times, and I've personally never been able to warm to the guy.
Eddie Irvine "Insurance claim there"typical irish humour, brilliant
Honestly, in this case, what was Irvine suppose to do. Ignore the large amount of openings Senna was giving him. They were equally fast, they were racing, that's racing.
Definition of a blue flagA lapped car must allow the faster car past after seeing a maximum of three blue flags or risk being penalised.
Simple as, Senna wasn't faster.

Yes I'm a Schumacher fan BUT that had nothing to do with my post. Remember I was watching and appreciating Senna before most of you, who have issue's with my post/opinion , were born or out of diapers. The only reason your crying imo is because Senna drove for McLaren, who can do no wrong, which again imo is a lame excuse.

Correct.
And this kind of reasoning or lapse of is what makes both of your opinion's laughable and not worthy of anymore interaction from me.

No, its because Senna was simply the best racing driver ever to have graced the sport.
And the Fact he drove for Mclaren is a Bonus.

So Schuy, Fangio, Clark et all don't even get a say. Note, each driver is from a different generation of drivers. No one driver is the greatest driver ever, simply because in many cases you simply can't compare. Is Schuy the greatest from factual point of veiw, you really could argue all day.
The only fact is, that we all have our own opinions on who is the greatest.
no seat belt
