LOL no no, T Glock took it today but LH was when I posted that :shock:

How anyone can say Lewis is un-sportman like beats me, especially after the way he stood by his team during all the turmoil they have been through.

This business about putting him a back of the pack car etc is rubbish, it's irrelevant ! He is in a McLaren and thats that. These drivers get their seats based on their talent and how they have impressed teams etc. Are you seriously suggesting that if Yamamoto was in a McLaren he would be leading the championship all year like Lewis LMFAO  yeah right !

Give his McLaren to Webber, Vettel, Rosberg, Kubica, etc and guess what. Instant champion!

Alonso is driving the same car as Hamilton... Hamilton is beating Alonso. Besides no one is 2007 Champion yet. So quit your whining!

I disagree with your last point. I would prefer Hamilton to win after what Alonso has said and done this season. If Hamilton doesn't win it, only then would I accept Alonso winning the title.

In 2006 Fernando Alonso beat Michael Schumacher, Formula 1's greatest driver on record. In 2007, Lewis Hamilton is currently beating Fernando Alonso in what we assume is an identical piece of machinery.

How can he not be a worthy champion?

If LH is a champion, then there are ten other champions int he paddock too. I have no doubt he is a great driver, but its hard to fail when you have everything handed to you on a plate. Lets put LH in a back of the pack car and see how he goes. Give his McLaren to Webber, Vettel, Rosberg, Kubica, etc and guess what. Instant champion!

The current world champion is driving an identical McLaren, Lewis is beating him.

The lead car is unique, except for the one behind it which is identical.

If Hamilton becomes champion, would he ever again settle for not having #1 priority in a team? What if his new teammate out performs him?

Im expecting Kimi and Felipe to raise there game next year (as in become more consistant) beware of a Ferrari backlash! :o

I don't think Hamilton's too concerned, he's a big team player and would probably relish the challenge.

I think they will have to, Kyros, if they are to have any hopes of beating Hamilton. "Ferrari backlash"... if it's anything like this year's Ferrari backlash, no doubt it will be necessary to enlist the help of Mad Max once again.

Webber yes, Alonso No, please get your facts right Fact Man, Alonso was having problems after his pit stop (before the collision with Vettel) and afterwards stated that he didn't think the damage caused by Vettel had anything to do with his exit from the race.

Can you show me where he said it wasn't vettel's fault. Let's talk about facts

From crash.net
"Even so, Alonso's afternoon quickly began to unravel as he battled to regain lost ground, enjoying a couple of off-track moments before being tipped into a spin by Sebastian Vettel and dropping back to a net fifth place.

It got worse on lap 42 when he lost control of his damaged car coming out of turn five and slammed into the barriers, coating the circuit with debris and doing plenty more damage to his machine.

I can back that up, he said it straight after the race that he felt Vettel's hit had nothing to with it.
They asked had the damage anything to do with it, and he simply said "No"
He just Aquaplaned of like Wurz.

HA!, The funniest statement I have heard today is that the seats are based on talent. What planet are you on, Simac? The seats are based on money, and how much you can bring to the team.

Lewis Hamilton is the best thing to happen to F1 in the last 5 years, a young green kid turns up and shows the so called current champions how to drive a car.

As for Mark webber, he isnt in a McLaren cause he cant pull in $100 mill a season. He was with Mercedes and they had to let him go on cost issues. He is only in a Red Bull because if the wanted the renault engines, they had to take him as well. And youre going to tell me he has no talent?

In F2 he was constantly "in the pack" as they reverse the first 6 finishers for the start of the second race. He was in the pack and had to overtake to win or score highly in the second race which he did in style

I have to agree with this.

For the top high scoring teams does the amount of money a driver brings to the team not depend more on race wins/points as well as their status in the public eye and positive media attention due to performance more than anything else?

Or is there something else I'm missing?
