1- the decision of the FIA of starting with heavy rains, as every decision made by the FIA must be undersigned by each team, and Ferrari didn't. We will understand(or maybe not) what happened in the next hours, but that's a sad point for the FIA.

I didn't realise they had to sign something. I have to admit my first thoughts were - oh, Ferrari stretching the rules to their limits again ;)

2- why that penalty to kubica for colliding with LH? this is the game, this is motorsports, he didn't done it intentionally, but most of all, LH was still in race after it although he lost a position. so why ralf hasn't been punished for the collision with Yamamoto with a 10 position shift? maybe becuase none of them is a 20 year old leader of the championship..

I was puzzled by this one - OK they collided, but I didn't see the need for a penalty?

Loved the last minute action between Massa and Kubica - great racing!!
Feel really, really sorry for Vettel because he was doing so well.
And fab drive from Kimi! Shame Ferrari stuffed up the tyre situation or I think he would have stood a great chance of winning the race.

Alonso - did karma finally catch up with him ;)

. Incidentally, for the first time ever, or certainly not far off, Alonso made mention of the good work of the team!
I noticed that . most unusual

Yes I notice he mentioning the team, a bit to late I think after costing them $100 million. I hope Ron Dennis show him the door.:cry:

Just how many of you guys have actually driven a single seater in the wet ? Racing saloons & sports cars at club level was my sport, I have only done it once in a single seater in the wet but racing any kind of car in the wet is a pain in the neck racing a single seater in the torrential rain is terrifying. Racing in the wet levels out car performance, in the rain it is purely down to two variables driver and tyres.

Lewis Hamilton drove a terrific mature race his natural talent meant he stayed on the island at least untill Kubica got a bit too ambitious. Hamilton has now earned the title rainmaster his win was impressive not the least because Alonso is also one.

A lot of guys shone inthe race LH was one, Kovalainen truly made his mark, Mark Webber shone as a rainmaster, DC reminded us of how dependable he is. Both Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen pushed themselves way beyond the limit but it was to be Hamiltons day. Massa's performance impressed.

The Webber-Vettel shunt was purely down to Vettel's inexperience, Mark Webber's anger at him is very understandable I can think of more than a few F1 drivers (including a few others from down under) who would have been much more expresseive.

Ferrari bend the rules yet again and get away with it on a technicality, this time it was an issue that directly affected safety --- this has to be clamped down on if the sport is to continue. I wonder what the legal consequences would have been if a driver, mechanic, marshall or spectator had been killed because Ferrari deliberately chose to ignore an instruction from the FIA ?

Expect Ferrari to make a comeback particularly in the last race but the title will be Hamilton's

He will be lucky if Denis shows him the door, more than possible he will get awarded a years gardening leave. of course 100 to 135 million euros might get him a release.

Hard and vary real lesson here for the Ferarri top brass - take note.

Jean Toad should have been focused on the races ahead and he should have focused the entire Ferarri team resouses there too. Summer is for racing, winter is for politics. Toad chose to dilute focus to politics off the track as a disttaction from his poor performing team. The team are not prepared, not drilled and trained.

At the risk of rebellion, this is often typically French behaviour [from Toad] - make a fuss elsewhere to cover your own inefficency - like french farmers, lorrydrivers, etc.

Ferarri are finshed unless they rehire or replace Brawn with someone as good as. Toad is no match, and Kimi, Massa and any other driver will be wasted there as a result. Even Alonso will have worked that one out.

Au revoir Ferarri!

A lot of truth in the above post but you can never right off what Tony Vandervell called "those bloody red cars"

I don't consider LH to have done a great job. He wasn't challenged because he was in the front! So, we really can't tell how skilled he was had he been thrown towards the back and had to fight.

Still, he's got that front in almost equally difficult qualifying session, so there it goes. He DID the best possible job during the whole weekend, after all.

This is specifically for 7upJordan, few comments back.

Fancy labelling webber a cry baby. It just reflects on what YOU know about the sport.

If Webber isnt int he top 5 drivers there have been in the last few years, then I'll go and eat horse sh**.

Webber has one problem, and it isnt his attitude, skill level or natural talent. It is in fact lack of money.

I challenge anyone to name a driver with worse luck. He has every right, and then some to tell it how it is. As a fellow Australian, I am proud of the way he represents his country. He is exactly what every Australian is, no sugar coated garbage. I just looked in the dictionary at words like honest, truthful, talent, unlucky. All of them have a picture of Webber next to them.

I think Jenson Button is a close contender, poor guy. It'd be interesting to see at least 4 drivers in F1 in decent cars... :?
