Welcome to the 14th round of the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Singapore Grand Prix. It looks like being cooler than last year's inaugural race, with temperature highs between 28 and 29 degrees Celsius all weekend, and a strong likelihood of thunderstorms each day.

Thunderstorms in the dark under floodlights. On a street circuit such as this could be a nightmare.

If there's any heavy rain at all, there's gonna be a very strong chance of the race getting red-flagged. :(

Just found out that Grosjean is unwell, and Renault have Di Grassi on stand by just in case - although RG should be okay to compete.

That's Jenson's hopes of winning the race out of the window then.

The majority shows rain for friday...either way, I usually don't take 3-4 days weather forecast as truth...it's like a shot in the dark.

Hey guys thought I'd just drop by and give you this little rumour...

Seems like everything is going against Renault at the momment:

Hearing that Grosjean not feeling well. Lucas Di Grassi was in overalls and getting seat made earlier. Finally his chance?

Its not a rumor.

Autosport- The Renault team is confident Romain Grosjean will be able to compete at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, despite feeling unwell on Thursday.

Grosjean left the Marina Bay circuit and returned to his hotel to rest, hoping he will be fit to take part in tomorrow's practice sessions.

However, test driver Lucas di Grassi has carried out the FIA cockpit extraction test in case he is needed.

The team said that it was optimistic Grosjean will be able to be in the cockpit, but a decision will only be taken tomorrow.

Considering that Button claims all tyre heating issues are gone, since he was overheating tyres in Monza, I'd say not so. We'll also have the two softest compounds which are much easier to get heat into. I don't tyre temps will be the issue this weekend.

The rain though. Thats what sounds worrying. I just hope we don't see a red flag
