I don't know much about Bob Bell but I guess he must be qualified to be put in the position of Team Principle. Let's hope that he has more integrity that his predecessor.

He's a good man is Bob Bell. He has been a big part of Renault for a number of years, but has long kept himself out of the limelight. However when interviewed the man seems very genuine. We'll see what happens, but Bell is the right man to lead the team at the moment.

I dont know - flavio is a good guy. one has to realise and accept that whether wrong or right - he does what is required to win. in my opinion he's a gambler. did what he had to and hopes to get away with it. unfortunately he got caught this time. I am still of the opinion most of his peers is doing the same crap. some got caught and others will follow. just the way it goes

I don't believe that Flavio Briatore is in any way a good guy, he uses people to advance his own interests, how many drivers has he destroyed in the past 20 years at Renault?!?!

Doing what it takes to win is fine as long as it's within the rules, you have to admit this incident is a huge step outside the bounds of the rulebook. I don't believe that other team principles would have gone as far as race-fixing, there will always be bending of the rules in F1 but this is not breaking rules, it's smashing them into tiny pieces and dumping them on the doorstep of the governing body, threatening to sue everyone after the fact, he's supposedly suing the FIA now as well as the threatening to sue the Piquet's. I hope he has to sell his shares in QPR now as well as he now falls foul of the Football Associations rules on owning a football club!

in 20 years you learn a lot. you also learn to use your experience to benefit you - whether good or bad. consider this. do you think in all honesty that this was the first trick he pulled?? do you honestly think he is the only one guilty of pulling stunts like these. ........of cos not. they all get away with little things all the time. it only becomes a big thing when they get caught. our friend shumi has a lot of fingers pointed at him for so many things but not ONE proven. thats the way to do it. So yes - flavio at a poker table ??? ... he's my guy.

I'm 100% sure that Flavio Briatore has bent the rules to the max over the years, which just adds to my comments about him not being a good guy, it wouldn't surprise me if Briatore was the one that told Schumacher to t-bone Damon Hill in '94 after the German hit the wall! Getting away with little things in the past was common, but these days everything is scrutinised and gets punished, McLaren's "lie-gate" was a good example, Lewis got stripped of his points for finishing fourth and rightly so because he agreed to lie. From now on expect an investigation every time someone crashes and it benefits their team mate. The more things like this happen, the tighter the scrutiny will be, it's get to the point where a driver can't even breath without being scrutinised, F1 really doesn't need more scrutiny.

Whilst i'm agreeing with you myownalias, Briatore is not alone in bending the rules.

But I agree he actually bent them so much that the morality of his actions snapped right off.. :P

Don't agree with me, I get scared when people agree with me :P But yes there is always bending of the rules in any sport but when it goes into this kind of bending of rules, punishment has to be swift and appropriate, in this case I think that has been the true with Briatore's lifetime ban from FIA sanctioned events.
