I suppose the advantage of Kimi at McLaren is that he probably could work well with Lewis but I was still hoping for Rosberg to take the seat. I'm going to have to refine my opinion of the 'Iceman' if he does end up at McLaren, good job he's been growing on me lately, this news would have upset me quite a bit a few months back :whistling:

I think Rosbergs off to brawn for sure now, would be cruel if Rubens wins the title, and they sack him though.

Will be Hill at Williams all over again.

This will not be Rubens last year. I am sure that most of the start up teams would cut off there right arm to have Rubens in one of there cars next year.

I doubt Alonso will go to Ferrari in 2010, although there are still a number of factors which are working in his favour.

A few days ago those factors started to change very quickly, but it's still possible to him to have to wait till 2010, that year it's definitely sure.

Well I think Ferrari themselves have no idea what to do. Although the signs from Massa are good, they cannot be entirely sure that he'll ever achieve full fitness.

They won't know until he gets into the car again, by then that'll be late Autumn at best?

If Renault leave F1 I can see Alonso taking a year out, if not then he'll remain at Renault.

That my friend is the only thing right about the Alonso so called "move" rumour. Ferrari have someone nearly or even better than Schumacher? Or Kimi who lets face it is not better?

But Kimi has shown promise thee past few races and has redeemed himself?

What would you do?

How can you say Kimi is not better when only 2 years ago he won a WDC and Massa came 4th.

...and he'll prob take 4th or even 3rd this year if he keeps doing what hes doing.

Kimi is a good driver prob one of the best in F1 when motivated.

Out of Alonso and Kimi, the obvious choice would be Alonso? As he is far better. & i believe he coudo a better job in McLaren or Ferrari. But yeah your right this season he could re-deem himself through some good podiums etc. But i still think and always have thought Aonso would be the man for Ferrari.

Kimi beat alonso in 2007 mate, Alonso is perhaps slightly better but only slightly.

Put it this way if it costs £50mil to get rid of kimi to get Alonso i'd stick with Kimi for another year.

I agree, but you never know what that Ferrari Santander contract says.

I think Kimi is faster than Alonso on his day, but Alonso is more consistant.

Santander said that their contract is not linked to Alonso, but...

There was an article on PlanetF1 about Buttons Brawn deal for next year. He wants more money especially if he wins the title but Brawn dont want to pay so he might go elsewhere. The article says McLaren but i cannot see him and Lewis together.

No way Lewis would out drive him and he'd moan about grip being bad while lewis won and he's 6th

He just needs to get a tan and rethink his situation.

I'm surprised there hasn't been the flurry of transfer activity that I was expecting whatever the outcome of the hearing was.

oh yeah i totally agree. Why waste that money? Ferrari can't spare it. I think Kimi has something different. Just like Mika. A coldness that makes him awesome, but Alonso is just awesome. Plus would you like Kimi at McLaren?
