So, uh, there are rumours that Lotus are considering Fairuz Fauzy. A guy who has done less than Nakajima, Piquet, Buemi, Albers...even Karthikeyan! :irked:

And it won't be long before Alex Yoong gets linked with a Lotus seat as well...

That's the name I was trying to think of! The Malaysian guy who spoke incredibly good English. I can't remember what his driving was like though:(

One word to describe Yoong's driving... rubbish. :P

According to this, Williams have now signed up Hulkenberg for 2010. And a journalist who is a customer of Williams has apparently said that an "experienced driver" is taking Nico's place... the type that Patrick Head has been crying out for. Will it be Ruby? Quick Nick? Kimi? Or even Alonso?

Get in there!!

.... and sayonara Nakajima! :wavey:

Well, NH's manager Weber couldn't confirm it, but would be happy if that happened. Where did you get the bit about an experienced driver from? Didn't see that in the article...

It was earlier in the season, when Rosberg was putting in really inconsistent laptimes during all his stints.

The part about an experienced driver wasn't in that particular article, it came from a Williams forum I posted on.

Kimi Raikkonen has signed an "outline agreement" to kick off a second tenure with the McLaren team beginning next season, the Mirror newspaper reported on Sunday.

The British newspaper said the 29-year-old Finn, who raced with the Woking based outfit between 2002 and 2006, must first reach an agreement with Ferrari, with whom he is under contract for one more season.

The Mirror cited "paddock sources" in claiming that Raikkonen is prepared to vacate his contracted Ferrari seat in 2010, but only if the famous Italian outfit pays his salary. The newspaper estimated Raikkonen's 2010 Ferrari contract at nearly US $49m.

The report also said the news ties in with Nico Rosberg's link with Brawn and the Brackley team's burgeoning relationship with Mercedes-Benz.

The German manufacturer Mercedes was said to be pushing for Rosberg to replace Heikki Kovalainen at McLaren, but may now have resolved to push the German driver to Brawn and increase its involvement with the Ross Brawn-led outfit.

Kimi to McLaren?

If he keeps doing what he's doing THIS season or we get the 2007 Kimi this is great.

he won't give a dam about Hamilton either.

The Iceman Cometh..

Kimi and Lewis in McLaren would be cool. it would be like the Senna/Prost battles all over again.

Plus like I have said before Lewis will not faze Kimi as he did to Alonso

Yeh but they would both be pushed on by each other so it would work well.

I suppose the advantage of Kimi at McLaren is that he probably could work well with Lewis but I was still hoping for Rosberg to take the seat. I'm going to have to refine my opinion of the 'Iceman' if he does end up at McLaren, good job he's been growing on me lately, this news would have upset me quite a bit a few months back :whistling:

Yeah. And if it's the old, fast, motivated Kimi then I can see the now-reliable McLaren team winning more championships. It was always frustrating to see Kimi lose so many engines :P
