if people are interested in the percision needed in motorsport then that could translate in to good for military planning etc.

I would say that the motorsport and the military are at teh cutting edge of technology. but the military is no where near cutting edge.

Formula One is meant to be a team sport which is open to anybody. I really frown upon nationalism and would be cautious about seeing the sport be tainted by it.
