Hello, I've decided to join this forum after sneakily lurking here for well over a year (oops?) My name is Steve; I'm umpty six years old (the first F1 season I can remember watching was when James Hunt won the driver's title ... I was but a kid at the time however); I live in Shropshire and have done all my life (barring 15 months in the Falkland Islands working for the Ministry of Defence). I do not have a favourite team, I have support all the British drivers from James Hunt onwards. What else can I tell you about myself? Oh ... I have never been to any F1 race and the only motorsport event I have watched was a stage of the 1000 lakes rally in Finland 1993. Looking forward to contributing to this forum.

Watching James Hunt was what got me into motorsport, it's so long ago of course that I can barely remember ... I'm not even entirely sure if I continued watching F1 from then on or missed a couple of years, there seems to be a small gap in my memory between James Hunt's driver's championship and that of Alan Jones ... that's what happens once you pass a certain age
