Is there any clean team, I doubt, any clean driver; maybe a few, but it all depends if it's worth it.

There you're being negative - clean drivers there are plenty of and clean teams exist in the paddock too. A few bad examples doesn't set a precedent.

Well, maybe, I'm not saying all teams have cheated in a serious way, but that they would if the right opportunity was there.

And same thing with the drivers, not all of them would do it for the team, but a little cheating if it helps they own case; at least Hamilton and Schumi have already been proved to do it. It's not worth doing something over 9thplace, but for the higher positions and WDC the temptation seems to be too much.

Didn't Schumacher take Damon Hill out once to clinch a drivers championship?

I've only seen the odd clip of it but yes, I think Hill tried to overtake him into a corner and Schumacher just shut the door on him. Firmly. They both retired.

Yes.

Let's hope this doesn't turn into a Schumacher-bashing thread.

I know. I was saying that there are teams who wouldn't cheat. They might break rules unintentionally but there are plenty of straight goers about.

The drivers side of things is different. When it goes wrong on the track, drivers make instinctual reactions which often break the rules. In hindsight most drivers regret those incidents and as they get older it becomes easier for them to make the correct reaction instinctually. Schumacher was in trouble all the time when he was younger, not so when he matured (even considering how little pressure he was under at times).

I'm not disputing it, but when did Hamilton cheat?

I hope so too. The forum probably can't handle that sort of traffic.

From my medium term memory, I recall him being disqualified at Australian GP this year, lying to stewards. Sure the supporters say his was the victim, but I leave it to them.

I thought you meant on track. That was immaturity again playing its part, as well as a character floor in Lewis' make up.

If he believed in the way he handles himself off the track anywhere near as much as he believes in himself on track, he would have just stated the truth. Instead he played pally pally, looked after the team that had previously looked after him and put himself on dodgy ground when up until then, he had done nothing wrong.

Spa 2008...

I'm only up to the Spanish GP on my 2008 review DVD, I'll come back to you in time on that one!

i'm worried for alonso now, if he knew and the FIA might want to look into if he did or not then he could also be charged for bringing the sport into disrepute by not notifiying the FIA about it.

Hopfully tho since they have kicked out Symonds and Briatore they will just get DSQ'ed from last year and perhaps DIQ'ed from this year.

Hope Richards gets the Job now though, shame about Pat i don't care about Briatore.

Yeah, but the fact that Alonso hasn't been mentioned along with Piquet, Briatore and Symonds is seeming to indicate that he had no idea.

Of course, this does bring about another question: how did this race affect the 2008 championship?

Don't think it really affected the title, but if Lewis had of lost by one popint instead of win then it would of

They cant change it, the if massa won the race then all the next championship races would have been different, whos to say that lewis would have come 5th in brazil, he may have pushed for a win. no way can they change it, they cant predict a championship winner

 if they change it and Massa ends up becoming the winner i will find and kill max mosely. :banghead:

need to check this..

They can't change the championship result, Hamilton will remain champion. However, if Massa hadn't dashed in to the pits when the safety car came out, he looked set to win that race. So that would've been an extra ten points, but it's impossible to say what would have happened because without the safety car the positions would have been totally different. To me, it would just mean that the result of the 2008 championship was questionable, which is unfortunate really but there is nothing that could be done about it short of discounting all scores from the Singapore grand prix, which would not be a good solution at all (and it would change the result of the championship - Lewis would end up losing the title by five points).

yeah but it would be half points as it was before half way through the race and Massa might not of won and Hamilton might of won

exactly! a new time line would have existed and everything afterwards would have been different. Anyone seen the butterfly effect that explains it :hehe:

Spa 2008... :whip:

:rofl::hiding:

Yeah, but that's long term memory for me. I'm not a teenager anymore. Plus that case there are some people who think it wasn't a fair case, but the lying case there's not much to say. But I really not saying he's the only one who would do it.
