Hamilton dropping it like that was pretty stupid given that by that point in the race/lap the likelihood of even getting a chance of passing was nigh on zero, although it's refreshing to see drivers going for it throughout the race rather than turning the engines down and such near the end. Button was having to drive his arse off to keep him at bay too!

What was stupid about it? He doesn't need to collect points to push for the title and I don't think he's bothered about the number of 3rd place trophies he has on his mantlepiece.

If he'd pulled it off and Rubens had blown out at the last corner he would have won. If Lewis doesn't win this year, it doesn't matter a great deal where he finishes, if at all.

That would be a very selfish attitude to take. He also has to consider the team. Oh, but wait, he's Lewis...

Like martin said

There a Racing Team

i mean jeez everyone finds pole to win finishes boring when the order stays the same or finds overtaking in the pits boring.

and when a driver FINALY goes for it everyone gives him crap.

I don't blame Hamilton for going at Button. There was the possibility of forcing him into a mistake and taking 2nd. Granted it didn't exactly work out that way but I admire his competitiveness nonetheless, he wouldn't be nearly as exciting a driver if he just gave in.

whatever you say about hamilton [hes growing on me haha] he does make the races exciting, im glad he pushed like he did

this is Alex easing himself into McLaren Land.

subtle dude...real subtle

:P

:hehe: He's finally seeing the light.

p.s. Kimi is growing on me :yikes: What's happening to everyone...

Or maybe it's because, right now, he's the best-performing driver in F1? :P

Nah, he was world champion in 2007 and I definitely didn't like him then. Plus, he's performing brilliantly in a ferrari and I'm most definitely not a ferrari fan. It's definitely brain washing :hehe:

It's amusing when anyone needlessly drops it (exhibit A: Nelson Piquet Jr), people got over defensive about it though! :P

It's cause he has these really amusing but subtle habits that take a while to become noticable, or at least that's how i became a fan of his. :hehe::twisted:
