Kimi should leave F1 imho.

Why? He's driving superbly at the moment!

Maybe so, but he isn't enjoying it and is lacking the much needed passion!!!

Rubbish, he wouldn't be doing it if he wasn't enjoying it.

Let's use and example? Right Lewis won a race and Kimi has? There both a champ and Lewis was 10 times happier... Henson won and he was happy! They are still madly in love with the sport. I believe Kimi has lost the spark! Look at the McLaren wins he earnt? Happy as a 5 year old at Xmas! Now days it's different. I believe WRC really will be getti g it's next superstar

But kimi has said himself he dosn't want to retire from F1.

And Briatore claims he innocent? I only think he's in it for the money. I just doubt he will stay

Dude that don't make sense Kimi is under no duress to decide what he wants to do next year wheras of course Flav is going to say hes innocent?

I don't think Kimi is the type of person to beat around the bush if he says he wants to remain in F1 then he means it.

No what i was getting at is that anyone can say anything. As Santander are going to drop McLaren this season i could see Ferrari easily using the rest of the 2009 packages to pay him off and have a chat with FIAT to fund a WRC season for him. Then take a percentage of the package Santander could give Ferrari and pay Alonso. As we all know that is what goes on, Plus they were talking about this in Friday P1+2. It's imaginable really. But it depends on the money situation in 2010. But after all this is over i believe Alonso will be there.

Yeh but Kimi himself has said its too early for him to retire and he will remain in F1.

so he'll just go to another team if Ferrari let him go.

Rosberg & Kimi to shoot it out.

To be honest, McLaren made him the driver he is today. Minus the drinking jokes, Ron supplied him with so much, & to be honest Ferrari gave him a near perfect car and he took it and won by a point. I think Kimi back at mclaren would be a perfect picture. I think 2 champions who would get on because there both quiet would be great really.

Ferrari suggests Raikkonen future open

Kimi Raikkonen's run of four consecutive podium finishes is still not enough to guarantee his place at Ferrari next year, team principal Stefano Domenicali suggested on Sunday night.

While discussions continue between Raikkonen and Ferrari management about the possibility of ending the Finn's contract a year early, Domenicali suggested after the Italian Grand Prix that the situation was still very open.

When asked to end speculation about Raikkonen's future and confirm the 2007 world champion would drive for the team next year, Domenicali said: "I think that, as we have said, we don't want to discuss this now, because I don't think it is correct.

"As you know, Kimi has a contract with us next year, and this is what we can say now. We are happy with the performance of Kimi because he is playing fantastically, he is driving very, very well.

"The team is very, very happy in the way that he is performing - above all in the second part of the season when I have to say that with the last five races, he was always on the podium and he scored, I think after Barrichello, the highest points, who is fighting for the championship."

Raikkonen is believed to be weighing up offers from the McLaren and Brawn GP teams while his negotiations about paying off his 2010 contract continue.

His departure would make way for Fernando Alonso, who the team is determined to slot into the Maranello outfit.

Despite the long-term doubts about Raikkonen's place at the team, Domenicali did praise the way that the Finn had performed in recent races.

"I think that Kimi, as we have seen in the second part of the season, he is really very, very strong, very consistent, always on the podium and always there. For sure he has improved significantly but he is the Kimi that we know – he is the Kimi who was world champion with us two years ago, so we know that they can do that."

When asked if he expected the team to continue its run of five podium finishes, Domenicali said: "I hope that we can be on the podium in the next five races. I think that he can do it.

"Kimi is very, very good, he can do it. And with a performance that we really do not understand where all the different teams are, so if you are able as a team to maximise the performance then we can really be on the podium in the last four races for sure."

I think a lot of it right now hinges on next week's hearing, in the meantime more pieces are being added to the board the longer we wait. All it needs is that first move to be made.

Actually it's probably more like a Domino Rally than a chess game.

Last news is that the agreement was not announced because it's still not sure that Massa could come back in 2010, in that situation, Kimi also won't continue, and Fisichella would take Massa's seat... so, they are still waiting for some news about his real physical condition. Alonso has also said that he'll not "decide" anything till the end of the season.

The only that seems to be authentic it's that Kimi won't be at Ferrari next year.

I doubt Alonso will go to Ferrari in 2010, although there are still a number of factors which are working in his favour.
