I'm not surprised really. But hes concentrating on the road car aspect of the Ferrari.

Care to offer something factual that make's your claim a viable arguement?

Schumacher added that he is going to concentrate further on the development of Ferrari's road cars after playing a major role in several of the marque's recent models.

"We agreed that I will give my input more and more into the GT department, the area of road cars," said Schumacher.

"I enjoyed participating in the development of the Ferrari California, the 430 Scuderia and the new 458 Italia which we will present next Tuesday at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

"I very much look forward to participating in future projects."

It's not a surprise Schumacher wants to make some kind of a comeback. It's the same for many retired professional sportspeople, and I suspect Schumacher is similar. It would raise a bit of interest in Formula One, but, personally, I'd not like to see Schumacher tarnish his already slightly tarnished legacy.

Slightly tarnished? Yes he was no saint yet neither was (insert names here) .

A bit less of saint than any of name you could place in those brackets. At least at just about most other teams we had credible duals between their drivers. For instance, Senna and Prost at McLaren.

McLaren Fan is just scared that MS in a good Ferrari would drive circles around McLaren's drivers whoever that may be. :P:hehe::twisted:

He'd easily whip Kovalainen's arse. Hakkinen and Raikkonen - in fact, all of Finland - should be rightly embarrassed.

We both know that that is only true if said Ferrari is a lot better than McLaren's car... :hehe:

It's good for Ferrari marketing, that Schumi is going to be a part. Plus, his experiences can help Massa and Raikkonen (or whoever else will drive), to be better. But I doubt, he will take the place of a driver or a reserve driver (specially when Fisico is announced for 2010). If he wanted to drive, he would do it now, because he had a chance, and I don't really think, that Schumi would refuse to drive because of an injury sustained back then. Therefore I see him as a perfect marketing figure, and possibly a team boss sometime.

Senna was the same as Schumacher was when they were younger. The difference was Senna succeeded in running his opponents off the road.

It wasn't MS who refused to take up racing again, it was his doctors - he was very disappointed to not be in good enough health to sub for FM!
