Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite, with no ovaries or womb.

IF true, it's what I expected - gonna be tough on her/him.

Yeah, I heard those results this morning too. Apparently has more male hormones giving her an advantage but practically impossible to strip her of medals since she it's natural and from "doping."

on a more serious note, as a hermaphrodite can he/she/it race in mens or womens events or neither?

I doubt she'd be able to compete. She'd have an unfair advantage in the women's category.

the olympics can never be fair really, some people have genetic advantages and some could never win no matter how hard they try, is an inherrant advantage a cheat? cause she/he has an advantage just more advantagous than most, it must be hard to draw a line, and with being able to have designer babies, thats gonna cause a whole new headache,

the olympics can never be fair

Having a natural advantage is fine in most cases, just look at Usain Bolt. However athletics has categories for male and female athletes and Caster Semenya is transgender, that would be an unfair advantage in a field that is specifically for females.

EDIT: Or is that intersex or a Hermaphrodite? This is all very complicated, poor girl.

True, but...would she have a significant disadvantage in the male catagory?

Its really unfair on her eitherway.

it is but in a way it isnt lol, its impossible to negate, but it does seem unfair that someone who can try as hard as another can be ruled out, but thats life, work etc, its when you may get people having kids with others to get super kids lol, like pedigree animal :o

hmm, i had heard that maybe the human race may separate into a higher and lower species.. look at chavs, id never touch one!!
