Kimi should leave F1 imho.

Why? He's driving superbly at the moment!

Maybe so, but he isn't enjoying it and is lacking the much needed passion!!!

Rubbish, he wouldn't be doing it if he wasn't enjoying it.

Let's use and example? Right Lewis won a race and Kimi has? There both a champ and Lewis was 10 times happier... Henson won and he was happy! They are still madly in love with the sport. I believe Kimi has lost the spark! Look at the McLaren wins he earnt? Happy as a 5 year old at Xmas! Now days it's different. I believe WRC really will be getti g it's next superstar :)

But kimi has said himself he dosn't want to retire from F1.

Exactly  .

He just expresses himself differently. He's very restrained. Doesn't mean he's not having the time of his life.

Santander to announce Ferrari deal

By Jonathan Noble Tuesday, September 8th 2009, 16:15 GMT

Ferrari will announce its sponsorship deal with Spanish banking giants Santander at Monza on Thursday, confirming a deal that was first revealed by AUTOSPORT in July last year.

Ferrari is to hold a press conference ahead of the Italian Grand Prix with Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo and the president of the Bank of Santander, Emilio Botin.

The Santander alliance comes amid continued speculation that Spaniard Fernando Alonso is also on his way to Ferrari, although it is not known if an announcement about the Maranello team's 2010 driver plans will be made at Monza this weekend.

Ferrari has already stated that it is waiting for Felipe Massa to be fully fit for the start of next season, and it has a contract with Kimi Raikkonen too - although there is a chance this could be bought out.

Santander entered Formula 1 in 2007 with the McLaren team, on the back of its signing of Alonso, and its contract with the Woking-based team runs until the end of this year.

Alonso to the SF then

Heidfeld willing to stay on at BMW team

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78452

By Jonathan Noble and Matt Beer Thursday, September 10th 2009, 12:59 GMT

Nick Heidfeld says he would be open to staying at BMW Sauber if it lived on under new ownership in 2010, as he believes the team could remain competitive if it had sufficient budget.

The Hinwil based squad is still on the market after BMW announced in late July that it was pulling out of Formula 1, although if it is rescued it would still be in competition with other potential new entrants for the 13th slot in the field.

But despite its poor 2009 season and its current uncertain state, Heidfeld remains confident in the team's potential.

"For me it would be definitely an option as I think the team should stay very similar to what it is now," he said.

"It would be important if the finances were good enough to keep most of the people there, because the performance has been good, apart from the beginning of this year. And now hopefully it's going up again, so I believe that the team could be strong again in the future.

"But there's actually not much going on at the moment because nobody knows if or who will be there, so there's nobody to speak to."

Heidfeld admitted that events like the Renault scandal had thrown the driver market into further confusion.

"They are ongoing, but at the moment nothing that can be said or written," he replied when asked how negotiations for 2010 seats were progressing.

"It was already quite difficult to know exactly what's going on everywhere, and it's become even more crazy now with Renault, not knowing what's going to happen there, if [Nelson] Piquet did it on purpose, if and how is he going to be penalised, and if you imagine there were talks with Renault pulling out, that would not make the position a lot better."

But he ruled out chasing a drive at one of the three new teams to be awarded an F1 entry for 2010.

"No, I'm not speaking to new teams," said Heidfeld. "I try to follow what they do a bit and get an idea of the situation, because obviously there are also rumours that some teams are not doing a lot and maybe will not be on the grid next year, don't have a lot of money, and whatever.

"So it's something interesting, something to follow, but there are no teams there I'm talking to at the moment, simply because I don't expect them to be at the front of the grid in the near future. It's impossible."

Dude that don't make sense Kimi is under no duress to decide what he wants to do next year wheras of course Flav is going to say hes innocent?

I don't think Kimi is the type of person to beat around the bush if he says he wants to remain in F1 then he means it.

Kubica is also an interesting candidate.......

And now with the mess Renault's in... and Toyota not really looking good, who knows, maybe there'll be 3 teams out of next season. I hope not!

Won't be a huge disaster even if it does happen. Got a bunch of worthy replacements waiting in the wings.
