If I were Todt, I'd pluck Button out of his ailing Honda seat for the number two spot at the Prancing Horse. He'd be the perfectly gregarious foil to Kimi's tight-lipped anonymity, would be happy to be the 'second' Ferrari driver and would do a fabulous job behind the wheel all season long...

I kinda like that idea 8) .

I hate that idea.

You can't honestly say that you would like Button at Ferrari, he has been past it for a while and he had his chance to do something and he blew it. Should have gone back to Williams when he had the chance. Always be known as an "almost driver".

My opinion is Button has become stale as a driver with his current drive and need's a new enviroment. I just think it would be an interesting and productive year for him to be in a productive car. The only reason I replied to that statement concerning him going to Ferrari is strictly because I like the guy and his personality and I think he is under rated as a driver. Heck I remember when Ruben's came on the scene and raised quite a few eyebrow's. I never in my wildest dream's believe that it would come true although I have seen some CRAZY stuff happen in my 25yr's of following F1.

What I'm not entitled to voice my opinion and outlook?

Obviously not

For what it's worth, I agree with you (to an extent) - I think he is becoming stale at Honda and needs a new drive or a decent car. I think he's a good driver, but I'm not sure he's up there with the very best. However, I would like to see him in a decent car to see what he can do...

Thank you for clarifying I should have chosen my word's better so my opinion would have been more clear.

Surely you cant all seriously think that raikkonen is better than alonso and some are even saying mass is! I am not AN ALONSO FAN, but when I looked at the statistics, he has won more in 2 years with a top car than kimi has managed in five or six! I think that any body bar heidfeld or rosberg would be a step down for alonso as far as having a challenging team mate goes, this year hamilton has been the best driver, but I believe that partially to be due to the mementum all drivers can build up in a "special/really good" year for them. Yet even in what has been an unbelievable great year for a driver who invetiably must now be considered to be pretty good even in an average year alonso still seems to finally find that ablity or mental strength needed to beat him, alonso hasnt even been any where close to his best this year, far too many mistakes but the last few races show us all why rational impartial and neutral people should believe that he is indeed a top three driver and based on the statistics the other two are nico and nick, with an honory mention being given to luis hamilton for a trully wonderfull year. However I feel that if he dosent win it this year, he will not be the same driver again, he may well still be good but I feel that it might just prevent him from establishing him self as a really top qaulity driver. On the other hand nick and nico really need a very competitive car RIGHT NOW or there career path may look similar to webbers in nicks case and similar to kimis in nicos. U say - that aint half bad - but webo hasnt won a race when he probably should have and kimi hasnt won a WDC and has never really showen that he deserves to!

One more thing why wouldnt ferrari fans want a two time WDC in there ranks, it would go half the way to solving our driver problem, get nick, nico or luis and u solve the other half of the problem!
