I can't believe this, I thought Pat Symonds would be one of the last people in the team who would even remotely consider pulling off this stunt, and now it has been revealed he was one of the architects!

Hardly suprising Flavio was behind it though... :yawn:

This does not bode well for Renault, and now having watched Piquet's crash on Youtube again it really does look like a suspicious crash.

I have a lot of trouble believing Piquet's story.

But then I had a lot of trouble believing the crash was deliberate at all, and Renault now seem to admit it was. And now they're all carrying on like the cornered schoolboy who the teacher saw vandalising the wall.

I can't believe Pat was involved. i used to know him ages ago. If Piquet was being asked to do that sort of s*** no wonder he didnt drive too well!! Scumbags! (If its true...and that sounds very plausable)

EDIT And I can believe Alonso wasnt aware!He seems to cause poo in all the teams he drives for. WATCH OUT FERRARI !!

If you read all of the articles on this, it's all 'sources claim'. Well, um, if these sources were reputable, surely we'd know about it? A lot of the more respectable journalists are skeptical about the quotes from Briatore and Symonds at the moment, so there's some hope that it isn't true and all created by the Piquets.

If you read all of the articles on this, it's all 'sources claim'. Well, um, if these sources were reputable, surely we'd know about it? A lot of the more respectable journalists are skeptical about the quotes from Briatore and Symonds at the moment, so there's some hope that it isn't true and all created by the Piquets.

Those two are just shady enough to have made the whole thing up, so let's just hope they in fact did.

I can definitely believe that Briatore would pull such a stunt; as for Symonds he could have been pressured into it by Briatore! I'm interested to see if the telemetry does indeed show that Piquet Jr did stay on the gas until his final destination. That'd be pretty damning evidence against the Renault team...
