Just as it says...

I didn't watch it, did he actually predict the lottery number? I'm somewhat sceptical

he got all 6 of them correct.

there was no cuts in the scene either. However I do want to know what would of happened to the friday show if he got it all wrong.

I just want to know how close the first screening of the show was to it being live

I'm guessing that either the lottery isn't as live as we're led to believe or somehow the balls are altered while the recording is taking place.

I think the balls where on screen the whole time, but would like to watch the program again to check.

Maybe Derran Brown has been watching The Sting with Paul Newman http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070735/

In the film a con called "The Wire" is used where the con man says he can stall the result of a horse from getting to the bookmakers (remember this was before live feeds to bookies) long enough for "the mark" to make a bet.

I think its funny how sceptical absolutely everyone is. Common responses are flying out everywhere. Everyone thinks its a camera trick, or lottery wasn't actually live, or something else was done.

Seems typical nowadays, that if someone doesn't understand something, they dismiss it as a trick or a lie. It's all photoshop and video editing

Thats why I'm personally quite interested to see how he did it. I don't think he actually predicted the results so to say, I think there's something behind it. He said during an advert:
Even the simplest tricks, can make the most secure system vunerable

Haven't seem the show - but did he predict it before each ball was drawn? It could be a simple trick I suppose, the lottery isn't exactly live - there's a delay or something (or they set one up) and he worked inbewteen that delay maybe?

I'll make sure to ask the new physics teacher on monday, the persons an absolute genius with an interest in those sort of things - he might have figured it all out.

Already posted a video at the top showing the whole thing.

But saying the lottery isn't exactly live :hehe: There's like a delay of 2 or 3 seconds. Not only that, the lottery is on BBC and Derren Brown was on channel 4. The BBC seemed reluctant enough to work with channel 4 at all. They were only just allowed to show the BBC on CH4.

Really, the idea that it was all a trick and a lie, and that he was fed the information. Would the BBC or the lottery really want to be involved in something like that. Faking a lottery prediction. I think not. These companies care about their image, and don't want to be seen as deceiving the public.
